Emma's pov
This was it. This was the last walk to the stage I would share with the boys for a long time.
"Guys, it's time." Their manager announced as he poked his head through the door. They were excited and pumped. Their walks were never calm. They all jumped around and hollared, letting their preshow jitters out. It's when they could hear the screams when their demeanors changed. They would slow down a little and smiles spread across their faces.
"Ok circle around guys." Ashton motioned the boys in to a huddle. I always stood behind them. I could still hear everything, but I wasn't in the way. This was their time as a band to prepare. Usually they said stupid things that made me laugh. They always ended the huddle with a weird explosian thing that guys do to look manlier. I never got that. I guess it's a guy thing.
While the rest of the boys strapped their intruments around themselves, Ashton walked over to me.
"Good luck out there, Irwin." I kissed his nose.
"I love you. " He tucked my hair behind my ear.
"I love you too." I whispered as he kissed my forehead before turning around and walking onto the stage. I took my usual spot backstage and leaned against the wall. The guys always made sure I had the best view.
During the concert, most of the time Ashton's eyes were on the other boys, smiling or laughing at whatever ridiculous thing they were doing, but my favorite part was when he looked at me. I know that's kinda selfish, but he had everything he ever wanted in front of him. He didn't need a distraction, yet he took the time to look over at me and smile. I smiled back, holding back tears that day. Usually, he would smile then continue playing, but this time he called my name.
"Guys, I want to introduce you to someone really important to me. She's a pain in the ass sometimes, I'm not gonna lie." He looked over at me again and he motioned me to come on stage. I hesitated for a second.
"She's my girlfriend. Being an artist means I show the world everything about myself through music and tonight I want to show you the inspiration for most of these songs. It was suppose to be a one time thing, but it turned out to be way more than that." He continued. I was tearing up. This wasn't easy. We didn't want to tell the fans that we were dating, because we thought it was too soon and I was going to Africa so there was basically no point, but Ashton just threw that plan out the window.
He extended his hand towards me. I took a deep breath and slowly walked onstage to take it. The room was quiet, which was weird. Usually the girls never stopped cheering, but I could hear my footsteps echo.
I grabbed his hand and Ashton pulled me in the kiss my cheek, which caused me to blush.
"I hate it when they're cute like that." Micahel rolled his eyes. The crowd laugh a little and so did I.
"Introduce yourself."Ashton whispered in my ear before handing me the mic. I looked out and I couldn't see any faces since the lights were really bright, which helped a little. This was crazy.
"Uhh hey. How's everyone doing tonight?" My shakey voice boomed through the speakers and into the room. The crowd responded with the loudest cheer I have ever heard. I smiled at the positive response.
"I'm Emma King and uhhh....I don't have anything else to say so I'm just going to stop talking and let you hear what you really came for. Thank you and good night!" I gave the mic back to Ashton and kissed him on the cheek.
"Ok ok ok we get it." Michael groaned, making the crowd laugh. I flipped him off as I walked back to the wing.
A few songs later, they finished their set and the lights dimmed as they walked backstage.
Ashton was usually really sweaty after a show, but I didn't mind much. They were handed towles, so he wiped as much sweat off as he could before putting his arm around me.
"Thanks for the warning." I said, looking up at him.
"Just thought I'd surprise you." He shrugged.
"More like give me a heart attack," I chuckled, "But thank you. That was sweet."
"You're welcome." He replied before kissing quickly.
We went back to the bus and like always, we did absolutely nothing, which I was happy about since the guys wrestled me a little too hard in the jumper. I didn't mind the aching muscles too much though, it was all worth it. It was getting late and all I wanted to do was cuddle and go to sleep.
Luke and Ashton emerged from the back, shoes and jackets on.
"Where are you guys going?" I asked confused. He didn't tell me we were doing anything.
"No where. Ashton and I just have to talk to our manger about some stuff."
"Bye!" Michael yelled, not pausing his game.
"See ya." Calum waved, not taking his eyes of his phone. They weren't suspicious at all, but I was.
"Can I come?" I asked as I stood up, ready to slip on my shoes and coat.
"No no. It won't take long." Luke replied as he started pushing Ashton out the door.
"We'll be back soon." Ashton waved before Luke slammed the door.
"Well that wasn't weird at all." I mumbled.
Ashton's pov
"We couldn't be more obvious." I shook my head.
"Don't worry about it. We got out of there. Now we just have to find a place." He said as he drove around town looking for a jewelry store.
I was honestly kind of nervous. I've never done this before, but I wanted it to be special. Emma meant everything to me and I hope she understood that after what I was about to do. It was hard to wrap my head around the idea that she was leaving tomorrow morning. I know I left, but it was the stupidest thing I ever did. It was a decision made purely on anger and sadness. I didn't think it through, but I thought it through his time. We were leaving each other on good terms, with promises worth coming back for. I couldn't help but think back to the day she made me break into a construction site to show me the city. I needed to let her go so I could appreciate her when she came back. She wouldn't be the same person, she would be someone better. I needed to give her something so she knew that no matter what happened to either one of us, we always had love.

Hey guys, sorry for the boring filler. So she's almost leaving and it means that it'll be the end of the book. I'm not sure if I want to write a sequel or not or just write a long epilogue. Please let me know what you would like to see. I'm not sure how many chapters are left, but there are very few. Don't hesitate to comment or vote. Love you guys. Thank you so much for the 3.1k reads. You're all awesome!
