Emma's pov
I watched the luggage go around and around and I started to tap my foot impatiently. I was standing there for 5 minutes until my suitcase came around. I tugged at it, pulling it off the belt so quickly I almost lost my balance. I headed straight for the doors as fast as I could. I had been waiting for this moment for months. The only thing separating us were glass doors.
He was right. Going on this trip was exactly what I needed, but right now all I needed was him. I was happier than I've ever been. Everything I could ever want, I realized I had. That trip made me realize what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It assured me I made the right choice. I was finally ok with who I was and what I was doing with my life. Once I figured that out there was one person I needed to see.
There was a long hallway leading up to the door. My footsteps echoed off the wall and my heart was racing. I felt it against my chest. My palms were sweaty with made me grip the handle of my suitcase even tighter. I wasn't as nervous as I was impatient. I just wanted to see him. I wanted to touch him. I needed him. I was about halfway and I walked faster, almost jogging. I thought about running, but I was nearly there. I could here people cheering and laughing welcoming their loved ones and I just needed 5 voices. Four belonging to my best friends and 1 that mattered the most.
My dad died when I was in Africa. I came back for a couple days just to handle the funeral. I was sad, but I was able to recover. I didn't lose myself like I thought I would. Ashton couldn't come to the funeral. He wouldn't have made it in time since he was in Europe with One Direction talking about joining them on tour. With the flight being so long, he would have missed the funeral by the time he arrived, but I had Alex. She was my rock those few days I was back home. Her and Michael were still going strong and still had matching hair, which I found adorable.
Suddenly I became nervous. I walked through the doors and saw a sea of faces. I tried to look for someone I recognized but I couldn't see anyone. I heard him before I saw him.
"Emma!"
I turned around and he was waving his hands trying to get to me. I almost forgot what he looked like. His hair was long and curly as always. His hazel eyes never left mine and he was in his usual t shirt and black jeans.
"Ashton." I said almost relieved.
He got closer and closer and I almost couldn't take it. I couldn't wait any longer. I dropped my suitcase and I jumped into his arms. He held me tight lifting me off the ground, keeping me as close as possible, as if I could disappear at any second. The feeling came back and hit me like a truck. The feeling I didn't have for months, it all came back so quickly.
"I missed you." I said, laughing a little. I was so happy.
"I missed you too." He replied, pulling back a little so he could look at me.
"God, I really missed you. How was it? Did you like it? I'm sorry about your dad, I wish I could have been there. I feel so bad. I hope you're ok. Oh my god, I missed you. I think I said that like 4 times, but I don't care I am so happy you are back. I love you so much. Don't you dare leave me again because I don't think I'd be able to let you go. Holy shit you're back. I love you so m-"
I kissed him so that he would shut up. I felt him smile and I pulled apart, laughing a little bit.
"I love you too. And it was great. Everything was amazing. I'm ok about what happened to my dad. I'm good now. I think I answered everything."
"You did, and-"
"EMMA!!!" I heard someone shout across the airport. I saw a tall blonde quiff heading towards us and I looked at Ashton before pulling apart and running towards Luke.
"LUKE!" I yelled back. He crashed into me hard causing me to squeal.
"Holy shit I missed you." he whispered in my ear.
"I missed you too." I replied burying my face in his shoulder.
"What the fuck, Luke. I said I was going to hug her first!" Michael yelled at him. We pulled apart and I ran over to the red headed goofball.
"Mikey!" I said, pulling him into a hug.
"Welcome back!"
"Ok she's my best friend let me hug her." Alex said poking my from the side. I pulled her in. Even though I saw her a few weeks ago, I still missed her.
Calum patiently waited, so i quickly ran to him and jumped into his arms. He honestly gave the best hugs.
"Hey." I greeted him.
"Hey, welcome back." he replied, hugging me tightly before letting go.
I was happy to be back and I never wanted to leave.
Ashton walked up with my suitcase. I grabbed his hand and let him guide me to the car. The drive was anything but quiet. We kept talking and laughing, just catching up and singing to whatever played on the radio. We all went to my house and we walked in to a fort in my living room.
"I told you we'd celebrate your welcome back party in a fort." Michael said running towards it and slipping inside. My mother stepped from the kitchen and I hugged her. She was strong, but took my dad's death really hard.
"How are you mom?"
"I'm good now that you're back." She said, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. "I made some snacks for you and your friends. Go have fun." She said, heading back for the kitchen.
I left all my stuff by the stairs and took off my shoes before heading into the fort with everyone else. I took a seat by Ashton.
"Burrito?" Michael offered me.
"You got burritos too?!" I said, taking one.
"Of course I did." Michael scoffed as if there was anything else he would buy.
"You know they all cried last time I ate a burrito with them." I said, turning to Alex to tell her the hilarious story.
"Whoa whoa whoa we did not cry." Luke said, putting his hand up.
We talked for hours and hours and it was as if I never left.
After everyone left, Ashton was on the couch waiting for me to come back from letting the guys and Alex out. I sat next to him and put my head on his shoulder, wanting to just fall asleep there.
"Tired?" He asked as he put his arm around me.
"Yeah." I said, yawning.
"Let's go to my place?"
"Ok." I stood up when suddenly Ashton picked me up bridal style.
"Ashton, we can't climb over the fence like this." I giggled. He put my down in the backyard, letting me climb first. I got over quickly and landed on my feet on the other side. Ashton almost fell causing him to stumbled. I was able to hold him up.
"Whoa you ok?" I laughed at his clumsiness.
"Don't laugh at me." he giggled shoving me playfully. He opened the sliding glass door and his house looked exactly the same, which made me smile. That's when I finally felt like I was really home. We walked back to his room and he handed me a T-shirt and sweats to change into. I started walking to the bathroom to change when I realized this was Ashton. I put the sweats on and I took off my shirt to put on Ashton's when I felt his hands on my waist pulling me in. He wrapped his arms around my waist resting his chin on my shoulder.
"I missed you."
"I noticed." I chuckled, joking a little.
"'Oh Ashton I missed you too. You're the best boyfriend in the world with your super strong muscles and great drumming skills.'" He teased, raising his voice to make it sound higher like mine. I laughed turning to him and wrapping my arms around his neck.
"I love you." I kissed his nose.
"I love you too." He replied kissing my lips this time.
He bent down and lifted me up to carry me to the bed. He set me down, his arms never leaving me as he laid down beside me. The familiarity of this position almost made me tear up. I was home.
"Thanks for making me go. I really needed it." I said, closing my eyes.
"That was all you. I'm just glad you came back to me." Ashton replied.
"There's no place I'd rather be Irwin."

Ok so what I decided to do was to write a series of epilogues. Each chapter will be a different time in Ashton and Emma's life. There's nothing else to make a sequel so I'm really sorry. The epilogues can be considered a sequel since there will be several and it will wrap the story up nicely. I hope you like it and please don't hesitate to comment or vote. I'd really appreciate it and love you guys!
