"What is it?"
Time seemed to have stopped for Rebecca. It was getting harder to breathe. She tried to think of something that would sound convincing, but what???
"Mrs, I asked you a questin. What is this." Colby insisted.
"When I was in high school... I used this notebook for Latin lessons "
She definitely couldn't tell him the truth. At best, he'd think that she was crazy. The spell book definitely doesn't sound normal. The probability that he would believe her was close to zero anyway. But she definitely couldn't tell him, "my fiance was rummaging in the attic and summoned a demon." All these lies had tired her out, but this was her only chance. The man stared at her. The habit of biting her lip when she's lying is not in her favor. Everything was against her.
"I'll call my team. We'll do the inspection, and then you can go." He went to the door and called on the phone: "Joe, take two forensics officers and come to the house of Luke Sanders... Yes, now." He closed up and went back to Becky, who was still sitting in the same place, not moving. "Let's go down. You can't attend the examination anyway." Her gaze was fixed on an old leather notebook. "It will stay in me, let's get out of here."
Meanwhile
Ashley couldn't believe who she was seeing, or rather what thoughts she was reading. Yes she could read a mind and sometimes she hate it, but now, now it was like a bliss for her. It was Freddie, no doubt about it. After all the hours of searching without success, she finally found him... in a nearby supermarket. He began to live among people. So he could enjoy the chaos he created. Everyone was talking about a killer who had a new victim every week. The eyes removed, the way he torn his victims and almost disfigured them... this was his perverted performance for fun. All the attention that was paid to him, the fear in people's eyes... it was just a fun game.
Ashley left the grocery cart and began watching him from a distance. Unfortunately, while she was doing this, she pushed one of the shelves with the product. Freddy turned to her and saw a huge red ring on her hand. He recognized it... a ruby that could have drained all of his strength, he would have become an ordinary mortal if the stone had touched him. And he started running. Immediately after him was a blonde woman. He left the store and crossed the street. Ashley was still behind him when the brakes were heard. The black car couldn't stop in time and hit her.
"Watch where you're going! "The driver yelled at her and got out to help her. "Are you okay?" he asked as he helped her up.
"Nothing serious... a few bruises and one lost demon." She thought.
"Yes, I'm fine. Next time, drive carefully!" she shout.
"You jumped out on the road if you forgot..."
"I'm fine, go your own way."
"You are Crazy!" a tall man shouted and got into the car.
---
"Joe, where have you been for so long?" Colby asked after he opened the door.
"Don't ask ... a crazy woman jumped out on the road... Relax, she's fine, just a few abrasions."
"Go up to the attic, I'm going to the station."
Rebecca's phone rang.
"Hello, Ash ... What?" she screamed. "Are you sure?.. Talk later. See you."
"Is everything all right?" Colby asked.
"Yes, Yes...business stuff."

This evening was one of the few times agent Lopez was at home... in recent months, he has given himself completely to his work. He didn't want to lose a minute, because he knew that every minute he lost could cost someone's life. His sister, Lacey, could barely persuade him to have dinner with her. She made his favorite lasagna. They sat together at the table and poured themselves wine.
"I missed you." She smiled sadly.
"I know a little pumpkin"
"Don't call me that!" she interrupted him and pretended to be offended.
"Good, good... but you will always be my little pumpkin to me, and you know it." He pinched her cheek. The rest of the dinner turned to jokes and banter. He was her family, and she was his. They fought together with life for more than ten years. Their love for each other did not diminish for a second. Even when she started Dating guys and he sent them away one by one with his disgusting behavior.
"Little sister..." she looked at him "...you studied Latin, didn't you?"
"Yes." His question seemed very strange. Then he pulled out the sheet on which he had copied the first page from Rebecca's notebook.
"What does it say here?" She looked at the text, then her brother, and then again the text and her brother ... " will you say something or will you act like a puppy?"
"I.. I know it sounds strange, but it's a spell..." this is not the answer you expected....
