Noone POV
Ashley sat at the table in Starbucks and tapped her fingers on it, waiting for Manuel to bring her coffee. He walked over to her and left the tray on the table.
"Your order, My Queen."
"Thank you." She laughed a little, picked up her glass and took a sip.
"What's going on between you and the agent Anoa'i?"
"What do you mean?"
"Ash, we've known each other forever, and you can not hide anything from me. You're having a nervous breakdown." He also drank from his cup.
"He is just annoying me. His self-esteem is too high."
"So you don't like him?" Manuel asked, secretly hoping for a negative answer.
"Of course not." Ashley's eyes widened. "I deal with a lot of idiots, but he is in a different level."
"Talk to me. You always choose the most horrible men, John, Matthew, let's not forget the captain of the basketball team Trevor...."
"I still can't believe you broke his nose..." she shook her head.
"He deserved it. No one can make my Ashley cry and get away with it."
"You were always here for me and protected me, you were closer to me than my father. When you left, I realized how much you meant to me. The rift between my father and me deepened. I never thought I'd find such a good friend again. But then Bex appeared." A smile appeared on her face, she drank again from her cup and continued to talk: "as unbelievable as it may sound at the beginning, we both didn't like each other. She thought I was daddy's spoiled little girl. She was too boring for me. After one of my regular arguments with my father, I went to a bar to have a drink and forget about my problems. Needless to say, I overdid it... I couldn't stand on my feet. Bex worked at the same bar. When she saw me in what condition I was, she took me to her home without thinking. The next day, she made me breakfast and asked me to talk. She listened to me without asking any questions, and suggested that I could stay as long as I wanted. I didn't want to see my father, so I agreed. We both started to get to know each other, and over time we realized that we had a lot in common. More than you can imagine."
"Wow. I'm glad you found someone like Becky as a friend. I don't know much about her, but if she can win your love, then she's a good person. It's not easy to break down the walls around Ashley Fliehr's heart."
"Yes, she's amazing. But now we must get up. I promised Bex I'd help her with dinner."
"What are we waiting for? Let's go."
...
"Ready to start?"Becky asked, closing the closet door behind her. She sat down next to a low table located in the center of the triquetre, they had drawn earlier with chalk on the floor, and placed candles next to the metal bowl. She lit them one at a time and placed them on the three leafs. Outside, the sun was setting, giving way to the moon.
"Are you sure you want to do this? Maybe there's another way?"
"I have to... I'm tired of this creature from hell killing innocent people." She took a deep breath and picked up the dagger that was also on the table. She put her hand over the bowl and stuck the blade into one of her fingers. There were a few drops of blood in the potion.
"Cum hauritque tenebras lucem, et de duabus animabus merge in unus."
(When the light engulfs the darkness, the two souls will merge into one.)
An unfamiliar room appeared before Becky's eyes. There was a cork board on one of the walls, and on it were pictures of all the people Freddie had killed. He had carefully planned each murder. In the center of the board was a photograph of a woman Rebecca knew ... Mercedese's ... an FBI agent and Colby's ex-fiancee. Freddie grew bolder with each sacrifice. He felt untouchable. Becky came out of her trance, shock and horror on her face. She was silent and just stared...
