"This new suit is going to suit your strengths much better now," Shuri explained as she beamed with excitement.
Somehow she managed to place the package in your room with no one noticing.
The new suit was lighter and didn't have Vibranium, because it wasn't needed. It was flexible and would help you in battle do hand to hand combat in battle. It was made of a durable material and could hold many weapons. The style of the suit was like Black Widow's, but the shoes were part of the suit and it was tank-top style. However, it covered your entire chest so you would feel comfortable doing any move in battle.
"I don't know how to thank you," you said.
"Eh, none needed. Just go kick some HYDRA butt and that'll be all I need."
You glanced at the clock. "Well, Shuri, I have to go. I'll try to talk to you soon."
"Of course!"
You smiled and turned off the fancy FaceTime. Stark somehow made the FaceTime holographic, and it marveled you every time.
You double-checked to make sure your door was locked and slipped on the new suit. It hugged your skin as if it was giving you a hug in comfort for the thing you were about to do.
The sky was pitch black as you opened your window, scaling the wall with a grappling hook. You rolled onto the roof and grabbed the keys to the Quinjet.
"Stark is gonna kill me," you whispered as you turned on the jet. It roared, and you covered your ears in response, though it wouldn't do anything to keep the rest of the Avengers from hearing it.
And if they did here you, JARVIS zoomed out of there before they could stop you.
"JARVIS take me to the last visited HYDRA base," you commanded.
"Yes, Miss (Y/L/N)," he answered, plugging in the coordinates.
"If I get any calls from the Avengers, automatically hang up," you added. You didn't want the Avengers ruining your chance to taking down HYDRA.
"I don't think it is in my protocol to--"
You cut him off. "I think you are perfectly capable of completing that task."
"Yes, Miss (Y/L/N)."
~~~~~~~~~~
"JARVIS, land the ship in a safe distance from the base," you commanded.
The Quinjet landed softly on the ground. Taking a few deep breathes, you loaded your gun and ran towards the base. You could hear the murmurs of HYDRA agents, and their voices sent chills up your spine.
You knew you had a good chance of dying tonight. They had the weapons that could destroy you, or, it would be much worse. They would take you captive again, not holding back to their tortures. They would turn you not into a monster like you had been, but an indestructible beast.
Or, and you hoped that this wouldn't happen, they might have other SKH gene specimens who would be able to take you down before you had the chance to even cock your gun. And if you had the chance to kill one of them, would you? They wouldn't hesitate to kill you, but they were brainwashed and weren't put through this using their free will.
Your goal tonight was to cause extreme damage. And if taking down HYDRA once and for all meant taking you with it, so be it.
You cocked your gun and took out the two HYDRA agents on the east side perimeter. You slid out from behind the tree and ran to the wall, keeping your back to it. Your arms were bare in the freezing cold. Your breath was visible. You did your best to ignore the cold, though. You had been in worse.
Taking out one of Tony's gadgets, you used it to unlock the door. Thank goodness Shuri put dozens of pockets on this thing.
The door slid open with a loud creak, and you automatically pulled out your gun to take out the guards that had been standing there. You knew this HYDRA base like the back of your hand.
You stepped over the bodies and continued to walk down the hallway. It disgusted you that the concrete walls were damp and cold and that there were blood spots on the ground.
"Стоять!" A man yelled. You heard a cock of a trigger and the gun was placed on the back of your head. Even without looking at it, you knew what the gun was. It was the one with the special bullets that would be able to penetrate your skin. So you did what he told you to do: stop.
You tucked the gun in your holster and held your hands up, slowly turning around, hoping to show that you wouldn't do anything. When you made eye contact with the agent, his stance faltered as if you would cooperate because he had a gun. However, you used this to your advantage. You grabbed his wrist, barely ducking out of the way of the fired bullet that hit a different agent on the opposite end of the hall. You pulled out a taser, placing it on his arm.
With all the commotion caused, you knew that you barely had enough time to get your mission completed. You placed a small disk on the wall that would release a bomb as soon as you hit a button. The banging of running feet could be heard from both directions. Noticing an air vent above your head, you jumped into it. You army-crawled through it, placing numerous bombs along it.
If you remembered everything correctly, you placed one by every entrance, one over Madame B's and Fedor Bram's office, one over the lab, and one over the training room. No wonder Clint was fond of traveling through the vents - they were a relatively safe and easy way to conquer lots of ground.
"Транспортное средство, которое не принадлежит HYDRA, было обнаружено в этом районе. 2-я эскадрилья, уничтожь ее, а остальным из нас найди самозванца (A vehicle that does not belong to HYDRA has been spotted in the area. Squadron 2, destroy it, and the rest of us, find the imposter)."
Shoot. Just as everything was going smoothly, something had to happen.
HYDRA was on your tail, and they were going to make sure you didn't escape their grasp ever again.
