Hours passed and we just sat watching Supernatural, me explaining some things to them occasionally. I sat next to Calum, closer than I should've but then again I was literally crying on top of him 24 hours ago. Every now and again our knees would bump and one of us would blush slightly. But it was getting late and we had school tomorrow.
"Did you guys have homework because it's 10 o'clock and if you did we all need to do it," I said, seeing the look of shock on their faces.
"Yeah, I have English and we all have Chem," Michael said, turning off the Tv.
"Well, whatever you have let's do it now because who knows how long it'll take." I sat up from my spot and went to grab my bag from the car. I unlocked my car and got my bag from the backseat and ran back into the house seeing all the guys sitting at the dining room table with their backpacks next to them. They all looked so focused. I sat next to Michael who was across from Luke. Calum was sitting at the head of the table already looking confused. I got out my Chem homework and they all followed.
"This is the only thing that I'm good at in school," I told them as I read the first question already knowing the answer.
"Well, that's good because Calum sucks at it, right Cal?" Luke said looking at Calum expectantly.
Calum just nodded and made a motion to Michael that they should switch seats so he would be next to me. Michael got all his stuff and moved. I could smell Calums cologne; it wasn't overpowering or too strong like some kids in high school; it was soft and sweet. It reminded me of last night and how he could easily comfort me. I looked at his paper and noticed he got through the multiple-choice all right but he was just tapping his pencil at the extended response.
"So for these questions, we're just writing the product from the reaction and it's just balancing the equations." I spoke calmly as I pointed to the left side of the equations to show the reactants and then the blank for where the products should be.
Calum just nodded his head again and began writing them slowly but surely. I finished the paper at the same time that Calum finished 3 questions.
In about an hour I finished all of my homework and Michael did too; he went to bed right as he finished it. Luke saw that and said that he was too tired to do it and ran after Michael. I pulled out my sketchbook and started drawing my project. I had to convey one word in this drawing so I started sketching a person whom I didn't know. Calum was struggling on the Chem worksheet.
"What question are you on?" I asked while rubbing my eye attempting to wake up. He just waved me off and moved so I couldn't see the paper.
"Come on, I want to help you so we can both go to bed," I told him trying to look over his shoulder to get a glimpse of the paper.
"Fine, I won't help you and you can just fail." I sighed and gathered my things, put them in my bag and went to go to bed.
Right as I walked around him he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back. He looked at me with pleading eyes, I imagined him saying sorry. I quickly explained exactly how to do each problem and he understood in the way that I explained it. At least I think he did because he wrote down the right answers.
"See it wasn't that hard right?" I said patting his shoulder and getting my bag again. "Let's go to bed yeah?" I smiled.
He put all his stuff away in his bag and set it on the counter in the kitchen. We walked up the stairs and into the guest room.
I realized that I should say a thank you to the guys for letting me stay here again. I knocked on Michaels door. Luke opened it with video game sounds behind him. I smiled and he let me in.
