DOUBLE UPDATE
It's been a couple weeks since the storm, and our kiss. Calum and I have been studying together almost everyday. Well like 10 minutes of studying and a lot of cuddles, kissing, and criminal minds. He hasn't been talking around the boys, just me and only at their house when he knows we're alone. But tonight was different. It was dinner with my mom, the 5 of us all in the same room, doing small talk for like 2 hours. I knew I had to do it but that doesn't mean I'm going to like it. Don't get me wrong, I love my mom and I don't think the guys will do anything to upset her, it's just that she can be a bit much sometimes. Either way they'll be here in an hour and she's already panicking.

"Where did I put the spatula?" she scans the area looking for it even though it's in her hand.

"Mom, I think you need to take a break." she looks at me like I'm the crazy one.

"And why do you say that?" she put her hands on her hips, still holding the spatula.

"Look in your left hand." She looked down and sighed, "Shit, maybe you're right."

"I'm always right. Now, go clean up, you have flour on your face." She made them homemade pizza, always the best when it comes to her.

"Thanks for looking out for me Lukey." She kissed my cheek and walked upstairs.

"Always." I pulled out my phone to play Angry Birds till they got here.

Soon enough Luke texted me that they were on their way. I yelled to my mom to tell her that they'll be here in like 5 minutes at most. She yelled back that she wasn't ready and I just said that they could just chill in the living room with me until she was done.

I heard the doorbell go off and I sprinted out of my seat to open the door before mom did. I swung it open to see the three of them pushing each other and arguing, Calum once again not saying anything around them.

"Guys!" they all snapped their heads to see me holding back a laugh.

"Hey Ash!" Michael pulled me into a bone crushing hug.

"Hi Mike." I struggled to say, as he was crushing my lungs.

He let me go and I greeted Luke and Cal with the same hug, holding on to Calum a bit longer than I should've. We walked inside to see my mom staring at us.

"Hi boys! I'm Anne. Ashton has told me so much about you!" She smiles at them but I can see her eyes focus on Calum, I showed her a picture of us after school, "I already know your names. Luke, Michael and the lovely Calum." She looked at each of them when she said their names.

"Hi Anne, thank you for inviting us to dinner, we don't get many home cooked meals." Luke spoke up for the group, Mike's too awkward at first and sadly Cal won't talk in front of them.

"Of course, you guys are always welcome here, even if Ashton isn't here." She winked at the boys, making me roll my eyes.

"Thank you, Anne." Luke said flashing his toothy smile.

She smiled and walked back into the kitchen to finish making dinner. We walked into the living room and sat down talking about needing to watch Supernatural together soon. Luke and Cal sat on either side of me and as always Mike was next to Luke.

"You guys can spend the night if you want! The basement is finished finally."

"Mom stop eavesdropping!" I yelled to her.

"Never!" I could hear the smile in her voice.

"We'd love to stay but we'd rather take Ash with us if that's okay." Michael actually spoke to my mom. I smiled at him knowing it takes a lot for him to speak to adults.
