The Irregular at Magic High School: Mayumi Route

Volume 1: The Irregular Magician

The day began like any other, both siblings woke from their slumber and met each other in the kitchen, but this day was different from the others. Why? The two siblings were getting ready for their first day at one of nine of Japan's world famous magic high schools.

After making their way into the prestigious school, the siblings parted ways as Miyuki entered into the main hall to prepare for the freshman speech. Sadly, one of the downsides to the school was the discrimination system. The school was split into course one and two students but the students had their own nicknames for them: Blooms and Weeds. As Tatsuya was walking, many Course 1 students were pointing out that he was a Course two student. They carried on laughing at him as they walked into the large school hall. Whilst walking around the school, Tatsuya spotted one of the most well known students of the school, Mayumi Saegusa.

 Wow, one of the numbers, and a Saegusa on top of that. Tatsuya thought to himself.

"Hi there!"It wasn't Tatsuya who started the conversation, though yet it was the one and only Student council president: Mayumi Saegusa. "I'm Mayumi Saegusa, the student council president!" 

Her face was beautiful like a flower. Tatsuya thought.

"Hello, I'm Tatsuya Shiba. Nice to meet you," Tatsuya replied back whilst smiling. She seemed to not care about the discrimination that course two students were getting as she smiled back to Tatsuya before speaking again.

"You're pretty handsome aren't you?" Mayumi said without a hint of embarrassment. Tatsuya had a faint blush on his face as she said that.

"Thank you, I think you look beautiful too," Replied Tatsuya.

Blushing slightly, Mayumi waved at Tatsuya as she left to the main hall. 

That's right, I need to go to the hall too. Tatsuya thought as he began his way to the place that his sister would be performing her speech.

He knew how hard Miyuki had been practicing and had high expectations for her. He walked up the stair and took his seat. Although there had been no seating plans, the students from the course one had made it clear that the second course students were to stay away from them. A few seconds later, a group of girls came towards him. 

"Is this seat free?" Asked the girl with red hair. She was in a group of four and seemed to be the leader. Tatsuya nodded back and let the four girls through. "Nice to meet you, I'm Erika Chiba!" She said

"I'm Tatsuya Shiba," He replied. 

"I'm Mizuki Shibata," Another of the four began. "Nice to meet you!" She smiled. She was wearing glasses which was very unusual in this day and age due to the advancements in technology. There were only two reasons as to why she could have been wearing them: for aesthetics, or to prevent pushion radiation sensitivity by using special lenses within the glasses. Pushion radiation sensitivity was a condition in where you could see pushion emissions. To combat this, special glasses were made as help.

Once the two other girls had introduced themselves, the speech began. Like Tatsuya had expected, it went perfectly fine. Many of the boys seemed to have been attracted by Miyuki too which was also as expected due to Miyuki's perfect figure and face.

Once they had collected their student ID's, the group followed Tatsuya as he went to meet with his sister. 

"Wait, your sister is our top scorer on the entrance exam!" Erika exclaimed surprised that such a special person was the sister of such an average person.
