(Cassandra pov)
"Cass?" I was shaken awake by Colby, I groaned as I rolled over and huffed, "come on, Cassandra, you're going to be late for school, you don't have any clothes here so you're gonna have to wear mine," I nod as I got out of bed and he showed me some of his clothes. I nod my head and he tossed me a pair of ripped jeans, a 'take chances' shirt and my dad's merch hoodie.
"Thanks, Colby," I said as he left the room for me to get changed.

"If anyone bothers you today, you know I have your back," Colby told me as I stared at the school with pain in my eyes.
"I don't want to go in there..." I mumbled before slowly opening the car door, "do I have to go?" I ask as I turned to look at him.
"Yes, you do even though I don't want you too," Colby replies as we stare at each other.
"I'd rather be at home or someone's apartment. I don't think I can honestly do this, Colby."
"I know...I'm going to call Tara so I can get into contact with Jake," Colby told me and I nod as we pulled his phone out and called Tara.
"Hello?" Tara answers.
"Hey, I know this sounds stupid but where's Jake?" Colby asks her.
"He's having a shower, why?" Tara asks him.
"Uhh I need to ask him about Cassandra, that's all," Colby replied.
"I'll go get him," she sighs as she moved and wandered down the hallway, I glanced at Colby before I saw Tara knocking on the door, "Jake! Are you still in the shower?"
"Yeah! Why?" Jake shouts back.
"Colby's on the phone about Cassandra," she replies and I pursed my lips as I stayed silent.
"Why? Is she okay?" Jake asks as he opened the door and he grabs the phone off Tara, "What's up brother?"
"Hey brother, I just wanted to know if she could have a day off today, that's all..." Colby replies and I look outside before I felt myself die on the inside, I think they were waiting for me.
"Uh... she can have a half-day? Would she be okay with that?" Jake asks. I look back at the phone and then to Colby and I nod my head. "Is she there? Can I talk to her?" Colby handed me the phone and I held it up, "Hey, bub!"
"Hi, Jake," I replied and he smiles.
"Where did you sleep last night? Colby's?" I nod my head and he smiles, "sorry my phone hasn't been working, I'm gonna get it fixed today so I'll come a_nd get you at like 11:00."
"It's okay, you don't have to if you don't want to, Jake," I told him, "I'll just stay at school."
"No, no, I'll come and get you, don't worry," Jake replies and his eyebrows scrunched up, "bub, what happened to your nose?" Jake asks me and I squint my eyes at my square and then I pulled down the mirror on my side of the car.
"Wait, what the hell?" I mumbled before remembering yesterday with Aryia, "oh, a girl named Kaitlin punched me in front of everyone in front of the school because I got her boyfriend in detention... Aryia was going to kill her."
"As he should've. No one touches my kid and gets away with it," Jake growls and I slightly cringe from his tone of voice changing.
"Uhh...Jake?" Jake looked at the phone and I shake my head, "I'm fine, you don't need to kill anyone and neither does anyone else," I told him, "I am fine, I'll just stay at school and come home when I have to, it's not a big deal."
