I walked into Safiye sultan's room feeling a dreadful feeling in my gut as I walked over to her form that sat on the throne in the room.

"Sultana" I bowed after I stopped in front of her. She pointed for me to sit down beside her which I did.

"Good you're finally here I wanted to give you something," she said taking in a deep breath as if she couldn't breathe.

"You are a strong woman Jawhara and you knew how to steal the sultan's heart, you knew that you can never win the game unless you owned his heart and that you did, instead of one heir you gave us two and in one pregnancy and in the second you gave us three daughters," she said taking both of my hands into hers leaning a little into me.

"You proved yourself worthy and you earned yourself the nickname "Othman lioness" from the people after you saved the Othman line from dying by protecting the princes with your life" she took in a deep breath making worry bubble up inside of me.

"Sultana-" before I could say anything she raised her hand stopping me from saying anything.

"From now it's yours," she said putting out her hand showing the famous emerald ring that sultan Suleiman khan gave to Haseki Hürrem Sultan.

I took it from her looking down at it with astonishment but fear, whoever owns this ring has a lot of responsibilities on their back as if all of the mountains of the world grew on their shoulders

I took it from her looking down at it with astonishment but fear, whoever owns this ring has a lot of responsibilities on their back as if all of the mountains of the world grew on their shoulders.

"Put it on Haseki Jawhara sultan," she said shocking me. Haseki? Me? She just called me Haseki. I did as I was told and put it on my finger, it glided on as if it was made for me, how can this ring fit all of these women and now me?

Safiye sultan took a deep breath before falling to the side, I jumped steadying her in place before laying her down as she closed her eyes.

"Aghas!! Someone call the doctor" I screamed, the doors opened to show two maids who ran in as the aghas ran from in front of the room to get a doctor.

I looked at the table beside the throne to see a cup there I walked over taking the silver cup in between my fingers and smelled it, it was poisoned, she poisoned herself and that's why she gave me the ring. I looked at her beside me only to see her staring right back at me with her cold eyes, I couldn't help myself but scream as the reality of the situation dawned on me.

I stopped walking in front of the harem doors where everyone waited for me, I took my place at the very front with Halime and her daughter beside me

I stopped walking in front of the harem doors where everyone waited for me, I took my place at the very front with Halime and her daughter beside me. Minutes later the harem aghas walked out of the harem with a coffin on their shoulders, everyone bowed as the coffin passed them, I couldn't help as a tear left my eyes at the death of this strong woman who lived the pain of the death of ALL of her children yet stayed strong, everything bad she did came crashing down on her and that should be a lesson to me too.

I left the harem after the funeral and walked over to Ahmed's room who let me in immediately, I saw him eating dinner with the twins sat beside him despite being only one and half years old they sat still waiting for me to come and feed them. I smiled bowing to him before walking over to sit down beside Ahmed so I can feed the twins.

Between my hands was a letter I received this morning from one of the pashas on my side informing me of Halime sultan's plan to dethrone Ahmed and put her son on the throne instead

Between my hands was a letter I received this morning from one of the pashas on my side informing me of Halime sultan's plan to dethrone Ahmed and put her son on the throne instead.

"Ahmed my love, this arrived this morning" I handed him the letter before picking up Othman and placing him on my lap so I can feed him.

Ahmed threw the letter to the floor glaring down at the paper with hatred.

"Guards put Halime sultan in jail and bring me my brother" he yelled making me smile a little.

This news was true but what made me happy was that in no time all of the danger would be gone from my sons and Ahmed would probably kill his brother, I'm against that but Handan Sultan was right more than once they tried to put Mustafa on the throne but thankfully failed. As a mother of these two young princes, I'm definitely gonna do anything to protect them even killing someone with my own bare hands.

Mustafa Ahmed Khan's brother must die for my children to live otherwise my sons would be the ones dying tonight and two small coffins would be leaving this castle instead of one.

I hope Allah can forgive me for the sin of being the messenger of this horrid letter but I am a mother and I have to do what I gotta do for my children to survive this cruel world.
