"He what?" I asked softly feeling my heartbreak. I walked over to the window pushing the curtains to the side a little to see through.

I saw Ahmed standing in the private gardens with Mahbikar handing her a blood-red rose with a smile on his lips.

He didn't take my words seriously

He didn't take my words seriously. I will show him that I mean every single word I said and at the same time I will show this snake who's she's messing with.

"Cennet brink never the two yellow bottles" I ordered snapping the curtains close with so much force for a second I feared they would fall off.

Cennet walked in with two identical bottles full of yellow liquid.

"You put that poison in Mahbikar's food and put the bottle in Kosem's room like we planned," I said pointing at one of the bottles.

"And the other one sultana?" She asked.

"You will put it in my food and hide the bottle somewhere no one will find it" I explained the plan.

"But sultana what if you die?" She asked worriedly.

"You will send for the doctors I faint from the poison and send Hagi agha to find Mahbikar and get us both to the hospital wing and of course tell Ahmed" I explained the plan.

"Then sultana?" She asked with a look of wonder on her face.

"Then you will search the harem and will find the hidden bottle in Kosem's room and that way all suspicions will be off of me from Mahbikar's poisoning because in the end we were both poisoned at the same time and with the same poison that happens to be found in Kosem's room" I explained.

I don't hate Kösem but at some point, I had to eliminate her because as long as she's near Ahmed she's a danger. Besides all she does is traumatize these poor girls all day long.

"Sultana I've met smart women but none like you, even Safire sultana wouldn't have thought of that" Cennet said astonished.

At dinner time I took a sip from my glass of juice that I was sure was full of poison too and in no time the poison took effect.

Cennet started panicking anyway despite knowing the plan, but what wasn't planned was for Ahmed to visit.

I stood up feeling dizzy. Without any control over my body, I fainted on my bed making Ahmed scramble over to me as my eyes rolled to the back of my head and I felt my head go through the bars around the bed.

I opened my eyes to see that I was in the hospital wing, I looked beside me to see Mahbikar

I opened my eyes to see that I was in the hospital wing, I looked beside me to see Mahbikar. One way or another my plan worked and I got what I wanted.

"Oh thank Allah sultana," Cennet said running over to my side kneeling beside me.

"Did it work?" I whispered to not be heard by Mahbikar who was talking to one of the maids who came to visit her.

"Yes sultana, Kösem will be executed this afternoon" she whispered back.

"Cennet make sure the girls feel comfortable with their siblings" I ordered making her bow.

"I don't want them to need anything" I warned. She nodded before leaving as Karla helped me get dressed and leave for my room.

"When she goes out riding on Friday like she always does I want you to loosen the horse's saddle so she'll fall. If she survives then that'll be her lesson and if she doesn't then we've already gotten rid of her" I explained to Karla who nodded and left.

Ahmed walked in after a while with a worried look on his face.

"How are you now Jawhara?" He asked stopping in front of the couch I was sitting on probably knowing that I haven't forgiven him yet.

"Better" I answered back dryly glaring at him before moving my gaze to my red sleeping wear.

"You being mad at me is getting ridiculous" Ahmed said impatiently

"You being mad at me is getting ridiculous" Ahmed said impatiently.

"My heart being shattered is ridiculous to you?" I asked sarcastically.

"Wow you're showing how you actually feel about me more and more each passing day," I said bitterly glaring at him.

"What do you think you mean to me?" He asked taking a step closer to me.

"You see me as any other girl here to you, a toy to play with. A slave that's job is only giving you sons" I answered back with venom lacing my words.

"You're wrong. You're my life, my love, and the mother of my children. You're the sultana of my heart. You're the air I breathe in. You're the water I drink. Without you, I will die. I need you to survive and without you, I'll die" he said walking even closer taking my hands in his.

"I will not come back to you until she leaves," I said back softer this time trying to get him to soften up.

"She will stay" he answered back strongly tensing up his jaw.

"Then you will not come near me or even see my face for the rest of your life" I answered back harshly.

"I can't live without you," he said softly trying to make me softer and forgive him and live like any other woman in his harem.

"Die then" I answered back with as much hatred as I can master. I pushed his hands away from mine with so much force he had to take a step back to stop himself from stumbling.

"Watch what you say Jawhara. I am a sultan after all and I'm going on with this ridiculousness because I love you" he warned dangerously.

"My dignity is above all even you Ahmed, sultan or not. I will not stand idly and watch you love another. I will not be weak and accept the fact that you love another. You too are my air that I breathe and if you truly love me you will send her away so we can both breathe again" I said walking over to my couch and sat down ending this conversation.

He growled loudly glaring at me trying to show who had the power here but we both knew that it was me.

"You chose Ahmed, me or her" I said truly ending this absorbed conversation.
