Rose was just a normal girl living her life with her loving family as any normal person would, that is until the barbarians attack her village and kidnap her and sold her to the Othman's.
Sultan Ahmed has just been ascended to the Othman throne jus...
"Here sultana" Karla kneeled down in front of me with sheets in her hands. I smiled a little when I saw the blood on it.
"Good, take them to the cleaners" I ordered. She stood up and bowed before leaving.
"I still think Murad is too young to be doing this" Mahbikar said from beside me. I looked up at her.
"He's nineteen, not a child and in no time he'll be ruling this dynasty on his own," I said hardening my eyes.
"I still believe that he's too young for anything really," she said shrugging. I didn't have time to speaks as there was a knock on the door.
"Come in" I ordered. A harem agha walked in, he was one of the higher status, he was the head agha.
"What is it Sabri agha?" I asked fixing my posture to face him fully.
"Sultana the preparations for Sharazad sultan's departure are done and they're all waiting for you in the garden where their carriages will be leaving," he said. I sighed sadly as I got up and turned to look at Mahbikar who ran and got me my coat and headscarf/ crown that I'll be wearing.
"You can wait outside Sabri" he bowed and walked outside waiting by the door. I took off my crown so Mahbikar can place the other one on my head before helping me put on my coat.
I walked into the garden where all of my children where waiting for me. Everyone bowed to me except Murad who was the sultan and I didn't bow to him just because the customs said that a sultan's mother shall never bow to her own children.
"Validam" Murad took my hand and placed a small kiss to the back of it. I patted his cheek before turning to Sah.
"My beautiful daughter, take care of yourself and my Ahmed," I said holding back the tears but not the frown, I couldn't hold that back.

"And your unborn grandchild," she said placing her hand on her stomach. I gasped in shock and pulled her in for a hug before she pulled away and went to the carriage she'll be leaving in.
"Take care of them, Mahmoud," I said pleadingly to my son in law.
"Of course sultana, they're my life" he kneeled down and kissed the end of my robe. He wasn't allowed to touch me so he couldn't kiss my hand and so the traditions stated that they will kiss the robes instead.
I watched as the carriage move away further and further down the road until there was nothing left of it in my sight of view.

"Prepare me the bath, I need some relaxation before the wedding tomorrow" I ordered Malin who bowed and ran to the castle to prepare everything.
"Mother if you want me and Ali pasha could postpone our wedding until next week" Zahra suggested taking my hands in hers.
"My caring daughter, do not worry about me" I placed my hand on her cheek rubbing it lightly.
"I am fine and I'm sure Ali pasha won't wait longer, we've already postponed your wedding enough" she looked down sadly knowing that we had to postpone it because of her brothers' death.
"After my bath, I'll be in my room if you need me," I told Murad. I knew he wanted to speak with me about something.
I walked back to the castle and straight to the bath wing where I took of my clothes and decided to bath in the bathtub that has been in our dynasty since Nurbanu sultan.
"Karla bring me some warm milk" I ordered. She bowed and left. Warm milk almost always relaxed me when I'm bathing.
"Here's your milk sultana" I looked beside me to see a young maid instead of Karla.
"Where's Karla?" I asked sitting up and glared at her.
"In dreamland sultana," she said dropping the tray on the floor causing milk to fly everywhere before she pounced on me and pushed my head down underwater.

Every time I resurfaced I took a huge gulp of air knowing she won't leave me alone until I was dead. It was getting really hard to think as less and less oxygen got into my lungs. My head was on fire and it seemed like my body was about to give up when she was pulled off of me and I was pulled up from the water.
"Sultana, are you okay?" I could see a figure in front of me. It took me a minute to finally get my sight back and saw Emily in front of me.
"Mother are you alright" I looked up to see a drenched Murad with his back to me. My brave lion saved me.
"I'm fine my lion," I said as Emily helped me out of the tub with Malin and they helped me slip on a silk robe.
Murad turned around and pulled me in for a hug. I could feel him shaking in my arms which is why I shook my head at the maids to leave us. I didn't want the sultan to be seen crying.
"Don't be afraid my lion, you saved me" I pulled away and placed my hands on his cheeks.
"I was just scared of losing you, I've already lost father," he said looking at me with sad eyes.
"You won't lose me" I promised. He washed his face before helping me to his wing. He sat me down on his bed as a man who was in charge of his private courters came in.
"Silahtar, I want you to be in charge of the investigation and I want to know who ordered the murder of my mother," Murad said holding my hand on his lap as a way to reassure himself that I was still here with him.
"There was a maid we found near the bathrooms, she was knocked out but she could be still working with them," Silahtar said. I immediately glared at him.
"Karla has been by my side for the past twenty-one years that I've been in this castle. She would never betray me" I said glaring hard at him. He bowed his head before leaving the room to investigate.
