"Did you think of a solution?" Ahmed asked as we cuddled on his bed holding one another as tightly as possible. It's been three months since he told me he was dying and until this day we've been spending most of the time with our children we even all slept in one room once as Ahmed's condition got worse.

"The only solution I could think of is changing the killing your brother rule" I muttered looking down I hated that law when you ascend the throne you have to kill your brother.

"I will change it. I've always hated it anyways" he muttered leaning forward taking a deep breath before kissing my head.

I looked up and I couldn't help but smash my lips to him. It's been so long since I kissed his soft lips, it's been so long since he worshiped me as a woman.

"I missed you" he whispered against my lips taking my breath away. I kissed him feverishly like there was no tomorrow and maybe there wasn't.

"I love you" I muttered as he let his hand run over my shoulder bringing my dress down with his fingers.

"I'm sorry" he whispered in my ear. I nodded as his lips attacked my neck making my heart flutter.

"Where are the kids Karla?" I asked fixing my hair looking at the mirror.

"They went out with his majesty," she said. I nodded before leaving to go find them.

I found them in a room that was filled with maps and deals the Othman dynasty did throughout the years.

"Mother" Osman greeted when he saw me. I bowed to Ahmed with a smile on my lips. I could see that his energy was being drained from his body.

"I was showing the kids how deals work," he said. I understood the secret meaning of his words. He was preparing them for ruling after he dies.

I gave them a stained smile heartbreaking each passing second as the idea of living in a world Ahmed isn't present in anymore

"How about we boys go on a walk tomorrow too," he said looking at them. They all agreed eager to spend more time with their father.

The next morning I stood in the imperial tower watching as Ahmed walked with the children making sure the twins were on either side of him being the closest to the throne.
