I stood beside the sultan's room with all of my daughters, excluding Sah, and sons beside me. He looked at Orhan who seemed nervous as ever, which made me worry even more.

The doors opened and Murad emerged from beside me and stopped in front of me, everyone around me bowed to him except me. He took my hand in his and kissed the back of it.

"You better come back alive" he smiled when he heard my words. I may seem strong on the outside but I was crumbling on the inside knowing how high the possibilities of my sons dying were.

"I will and so will Orhan. Pray for us mother" I nodded before he moved on to his sister beside me.

Orhan moved from his place in the line and stood in front of me, he took my hand in his and kissed the back of it

Orhan moved from his place in the line and stood in front of me, he took my hand in his and kissed the back of it.

"Pray for us mother and for our victory," he said. I could see the worry in his eyes grow as the time for him to leave grew closer. He wasn't afraid of the war, he was afraid to be executed in the campaign.

"May Allah be with you and your brother and the Janissary" he bowed one last time before the two of them left me and my other children alone.

Seven months later_

I sat impatiently in my room waiting for my lions to come over to me. I've been very stressed lately so the doctors told me to rest in my room for the next week or so.

The doors opened and Murad walked in which made me sigh in relief as he walked over to me. I stood up and smiled at him as he took my hand into his and kissed the back of it.

"My victorious lion" he smiled as I pulled him in for a hug. I looked behind him expecting Orhan but he wasn't standing there which made me pull away from Murad and look at him with confusion.

"Where's Orhan?" I asked worriedly holding Murad's shoulders.

"He's alive, do not worry," he said which made me sigh in relief. The doors opened and to my complete shock, Orhan came in... in a wheelchair. I stared at him frozen in place with wide eyes as he was rolled in by a harem agha who bowed and then left us alone.
