"Murad"
Murad jumped up and ran to sit beside my lying form. He took my hand into his and kissed the back of it reassuringly.
"Thank Allah you're able to speak again" he sighed placing my hand back down on the bed.
"My darling boy" I raised my hand and placed it on his cheeks making him sigh in relief and close his eyes.
"Darling, leave me with your sisters" I ordered. He nodded and kissed my forehead before leaving the room leaving me with my daughters.
"Mother" Gevherhan sat in his place beside me on the bed. Ayse and Fatma stood at the foot of my bed beside each other. Kaya sat on my other side holding my hand in her own. Zahra, Handan, and Sah stood huddled together on my left.
"I want you to take care of each other and your brothers," I said looking up at every single one of them.
"Don't say such things mother, you will get better and walk among us again soon" Handan said kneeling down beside me and took my hand into hers and kissed the back of it.
"Let me finish," I said smiling down at her. She nodded and listened intently to me.
"I want you to take care of each other and make sure your brothers don't even fight and are always civil with each other," I said moving my other hand to let it run through Kaya's hair who let out a small sob.
"We promise mother but, you will get better," Gevherhan said strongly smiling down at me.
"Leave me and let your brothers in" I ordered. They all stood up and bowed to me before walking out of the room leaving me alone for a couple of minutes before all of my boys poured in. I wish Osman and Mehmed were among them and I didn't have to witness their deaths.
"How are you feeling mother?" Ibrahim asked me sitting down beside me on the bed with Beyazid on my other side. Murad stood beside the bed with his hand on Ibrahim's shoulder. Kasim stood beside Murad with a grim face on. Orhan sat beside Beyazid
"I'm much better now that I saw you all" I smiled at him as he took my hand into his and kissed the back of it.
"I want you all to promise me something" I started squeezing Ibrahim's hand in mine.
"Promise me that you will always stick together and never ever fight especially overpower" I said looking each one of them in the eyes.
"Don't say that mother, you will recover" Beyazid said pleadingly.
"I am not immortal my lovely," I said smiling at him. He returned my smile with a much sadder one.
"Now promise me even if it was a lie just to make me happy" I pleaded feeling tears build up in my eyes as I looked at them. Kasim already had a tear running down his face but immediately whipped it off.
"We promise," Orhan said. One after the other they kissed my hands before they left me alone in my room.
I closed my eyes feeling tired knowing that I won't be waking up after. I could smell roses filling my senses as white started to shine in on my vision.
"Jawhara" I opened my eyes to see myself in a forest, a well-lit forest. I looked up at the beautiful blue sky where the sun was shining brightly in the sky. I raised my hand to shield my eyes but stopped when I noticed how young my hand looked again.
"Jawhara" I turned around to see my beloved standing there. He opened his arms with a soft smile.
I slowly walked over scared that this was a dream but when we were merely inched apart from each other I knew he was real and immediately hugged him as tightly as I could.
"I've been waiting for you" he whispered as he let his hand run through my hair. I pulled away and looked up at his face.
"Ahmed," I said placing my hand on his cheek making him close his eyes before taking my hand in his and kissing it.
We were two lovers standing in the middle of the forest wearing pure white with no jewelry nor power, we were two people standing in the open as God created us.
"I've missed you dearly," he said finally leaning down and kissed my lips making me close my eyes.
"Come on," he said taking my hand into his and started pulling me deeper into the forest where the trees hit thicker and thicker until barely any light could seep through.
We stopped in front of a lake that was clearer than any water I've seen. He stepped through first before helping me down into the water. We walked until the water was around our waists. He pulled me close and placed his forehead on mine before we both sank down until we were covered fully. It felt like we were floating in the water for hours but I didn't have to hold in my breath and I loved every second of it.
I gasped as my feet hit the ground and opened my eyes to see Ahmed standing in front of me with a smile on his face. I looked around to find myself in a tulip field like this was the heaven for ottomans only.
"There are some people waiting for you," he said pulling me through the field. We were nearing what looked like a huge white mansion covered in beautiful flowers from the outside. The doors opened when we reached them. I walked into the house where two people stood making me freeze as they both smile at me.
"Osman...Mehmed" they both walked over and hugged me at the same time. I pulled them as close to me as possible and kissed both of their cheeks.
"I've missed you" I whispered as we pulled away and I got to have a good look at the both of them.
"How is she?" Mehmed asked stepping closer to me and taking my hands in mine.
"Your daughter is perfect and her wedding will be soon my darling," I said smiling at him. His smile couldn't brighter. I looked over his shoulder to see Osman's concubine walk in holding the hand of a boy who I could only assume was his son.
I turned around to look at Ahmed who was watching me with a huge smile on his face like his just saw the most beautiful thing ever in his life which made my heart flutter. After all these years he still looked at me the same way.
