"Here's the list sultana," Emily said handing me a paper with a list of names.

"What is this list for mother?" Fatma asked leaning closer to me to see the paper.

"This is a list of the respectable men in our dynasty," I said reading through the names and looked at the ages.

"Why?" Ayse asked confused. I looked up at the two girls who weren't my actual blood but I loved them as such anyway.

"You too are of marriage age or a little over it and it's time you two marry and make me happy like your three sisters did," I said putting the list down.

"I do not wish to marry mother" Ayse whined pouting at me like the spoiled girl she was and I was proud of that, I spoiled my children and I didn't care at all. Fatma stood up with a sad look on her face which broke my heart but in a situation like this, I have to be hard on them.

"You have no say in this, your brother agreed and by the time he's back we will have your engagement parties and you will marry whoever I choose for you," I said glaring slightly up at her. Of course, I will be using this to my advantage and marry them to men on my side.

"I will not marry anyone unless I love them," Ayse said standing up angrily glaring at me

"I will not marry anyone unless I love them," Ayse said standing up angrily glaring at me. I knew that they didn't love as much as they loved their mothers especially after some people put through their heads that I had a hand in their mother's deaths which were partially true.

"I said you have no say and you will be marrying Mehmed pasha and Fatma will be marrying Omar pasha and that is final," I said standing up glaring at the two girls. They glared back at me but after a couple of seconds, they looked down which meant that I won't that argument. I raised my head high proud of myself.

"Now go to your rooms" they bowed to me before they left me alone in my room with Emily

"Now go to your rooms" they bowed to me before they left me alone in my room with Emily.

"Sultana, do not feel sad sultana sometimes being harsh is the answer. They are not young women anymore they suppressed the age of marriage and they will be sitting on your chest if you don't marry them off" Emily said to comfort me knowing how much it hurt me knowing they didn't love me as much as I loved them.
