I woke up. Everything was dark. I turned around I was still in the room, I guessed was Simon's. I looked around and he was laying in the bed. He was facing me with his back. I thought maybe this was my chance to escape. Even though I didn't know the exact way to Hilltop , but I still could be my only chance to escape. I didn't really taught about any consequences. The only thing i knew right now was, that I didn't want to be here. One of them killed my mother. She was my idol for my whole life... and now she was gone.

I slowly and silently stood up and went to the door. I pulled down the door handle and made myself out of the room. I closed the door behind myself in silence. I carefully ran down the corridor and down the stairs. The only guard i found was walking around and he was so tired that it didn't need much effort to knock him out with a Hammer I found on one of the tables in one corner. I think he wasn't dead but it didn't matter. I just needed to get my way out of here. As soon as i stood outdoors carrying the hammer, the gun and the cap from the guy I just knocked out, I put the cap on and made myself to the gates hiding in the shadows. Two guards were standing on each side. I put up a stick and threw it over the gates unnoticed. Both immediately looked the way the noice came from.

"Guys I got this open the gates." I said quickly to them, hoping they would fell for my trick. They did. I greeted one of them with the cap that was hiding my face. They didn't close the gate behind me probably waiting for me. As soon as i wasn't in the lights from the towers anymore i started running. I ran as fast as i could and tried not to stay on the road. I was in the woods but was still seeing the road so I this could help me to get an orientation. The sun started to rise. It slowly got lighter. I lost the road. Fuck.

I was out of breath so I started walking fast. Through the woods I saw something that looked like a small wooden cottage. Maybe I could hide in there. I still didn't really feel strong enough, so for now this was the best it could get.

I slowly and carefully opened the wooden door that lead me inside. Everything was quiet. Seemed like no one else was there. I said in a loud voice " hello?" No one answered "I'm cathryn walker and I'm not here to arm you..."still no answer.

I walked around the small house. I didn't found anyone, but I found some food and another gun. Suddenly I heard some noice that seemed to come from beneath the floor. The noice moved towards one of the walls behind me, I turned around and followed the sound. It sounded like a door slung open and the noice seemed gone. I moved to one of the windows to look outside where to sound had stopped. I saw a teenage boy running into the woods. first I wanted to follow him, but then I noticed a group of walkers appearing and surrounding around him. He had no chance. They ran over him. He screamed, the noice stopped after just a few seconds.

Poor dude, but good for me. I wasn't able to feel pity with someone dying that I didn't really know. I would stay here for a few days, I thought. This day I would try to settle in and set up some traps.

~

The next day I woke up on a small mattress that was laying on the ground. I stood up and was about to leave with a knife I found on the ground where the guy from the last day got killed. His corpse was gone. I checked my traps. They had nothing in them.

SIMONS PERSPECTIVE:

After I woke up and found out she wasn't there anymore. I immediately set off with a small group of other saviors to find her. She had knocked one out and tricked two guards at the gate. Why were all of these motherfuckers so fucking stupid?

The whole team was sitting in one of the big trucks as we drove off. I had ordered Dwight to inform Negan about what had happened. He wouldn't be happy, but I wasn't either. This bitch...why does she wanted to make it so complicated? She was a good fighter and would fit in great, but for some reason she wasn't willing to. She will definitely get punish for this.

We drove down the road, into the direction of Hilltop, maybe she was there or still on her way.  A small group of walkers appeared on the road, so we stopped. Some out of my group jumped out of the vehicle to kill them so we could continue driving.

I noticed that one of them had turned just really recently. The others were rotten and looked like skeletons, but this one still looked human. He was young. Did she kill him? Wow she really was a cold bitch, it kinda turned me on.

I jumped out of the car and stopped the other saviors, before they killed the recently turned one. They already killed some next to him. I assassinated the two next to him with my gun. Two quick shots right in their heads. I looked for other hints on the walking corpse. I signaled my group not to move further.
He didn't carry anything it looked like, if he had planned to leave the place he was hiding or he was traveling the whole time, he would have worn a backpack or at least a jacket or something like this. But he wasn't. This was enough evidence for me...and he was probably the only hint we could find if she didn't walk on the road, which would have been very stupid.

I told my saviors about what I had just found out. They just nodded and followed me into the woods, going into the direction the walker group had came from. None of them would ever disagree with me because they knew, they would pay with their heads.

We split up but were still close enough to see each other. We walked parallel some miles until one of my men gave me a signal. He found something. We all gathered up behind him trying to stay quiet. I looked around and saw a small wooden cottage. It was in the middle of an open field inside the forest. The sun was shining right at it.

MY (CATHRYN'S) PERSPECTIVE:

I found some berries, that I hoped would be okay, their bush was just a little bit inside the woods. Not far away from the wooden cottage. My hands were carrying a lot of them. I got back to my yet-to-be-home while I hummed the song 'Gods and monsters' by Lana del Rey. Suddenly I heard a laugh behind me and the familiar rough  voice...

"Well... look what we found here..."
