I had an idea. I opened a new tweet,
@ImNotAdi; Hey London, who’s awake and fancies meeting me at Leicester square in 10 for pizza and cookies? Bring blankets, munchkins
And I tweeted it. Lori’s phone buzzed when I tweeted it (she had my notifications on). She read it and opened twitter, not looking at me. A few seconds later, my phone buzzed and when I checked, Lori had tweeted me back
@LoriMan; I’m up. I’ll come. And I’m sure @HiItVi and @Samidk will come along too. Only if we can have cookies. Maybe ice cream.
I looked over at Lori who was smiling at me. We both stood up.
“Where are you two going?” Luke asked when he saw us get up
“An impromptu meet-up in Leicester square” I smiled and went to pull my boots on. The rest of them stood up.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa” I said. “You guys can’t come, you’ll get mobbed”
“Adi, it’s midnight” Calum raised an eyebrow.
I nodded and we all went out.
I took Michael, Luke and Lori to get pizza and we sent Violet, Sam, Ash and Calum to get cookies and ice cream.
We met back up at the square to see around 50 people gathered there, sitting on blankets and huddled together, talking and giggling. When they saw us there was a scream and they all stood, but nobody ran toward us. I walked over,
“Hey guys!” I said and there was another scream
“Okay, who wants pizza?” I asked and there was another scream.
We handed around the 20 pizza boxes we had, it wasn’t really enough but everyone seemed grateful. I don’t think anybody noticed the boys until later on, and then it was a little too late to start screaming again.
The girls and I split up and walked around and sat on blankets with fans, we took selfies and followed people on twitter, I had a long chat with a lot of them and they all seemed to calm down after a while. I was in the middle of a conversation with one girl about her favourite bands when Michael walked over and plonked himself next to me, he reached out and grabbed a slice of pizza from their box. I hit him on the arm as he took a bite.
The girl just sat there with her mouth open, staring at him.
“Mikey, why?” I sighed
“I’m hungry, you expect me to starve?” he had his mouth full
“I don’t expect you to take somebody else’s food” I complained as Luke came over and fell on Michael, crushing him and another girl.
“Dude!” I yelled.
Neither of them listened, I stood up, as did the girls and they started wrestling on the floor. “Guys, stop!” I shouted, they still didn’t listen.
I looked around at the viewers “Does anybody have anything that makes a loud noise?” I shouted, and a girl walked over to me with an air horn. I frowned at her, silently asking why she had this,
“It’s midnight, in the middle of London, I’m meeting somebody who doesn’t even know my name and I have no idea if they’re even going to show. I didn’t have time to go out and buy a rape whistle so this is the first thing I could find.” She explained. I laughed.
“Okay everybody!” I shouted “Cover your ears” they did and I looked back down at the guys who were still fighting
“You guys going to stop?” I yelled, I got ignored, yet again. I screwed up my face and pressed the button and Michael and Luke sprung apart covering their ears. I stopped and everybody burst into laughter while they rolled around complaining about the noise.
It was funny when I had done it, but a few minutes later a regretted the decision.
I heard sirens of a police car getting louder, and closer to us.
“Shit” I whispered. “Okay everyone!” I yelled and they all looked at me “That’s our cue to leave, it was wonderful meeting you all but I would recommend you all scatter” I rushed and everybody stared at me, a little confused as to why I was so urgent,
“I mean now” I yelled and they all jumped up, grabbed their stuff and ran.
I was left with Vi, Lori, Sam, Ash, Luke, Mikey and Cal. “We should probably go too” I said and we all ran in the direction of the house, just as a police car pulled up on the other side of the square.
I looked over my shoulder to see a police man had stepped out and when he spotted us, he got back in the car and started to follow.
You see, it's not exactly legal to have a meet-up in the middle of Leicster Square at midnight and if we got caught, we could get fined money that i don't have. I'm not about to risk getting into trouble with the courts so the best option here is probably to run.
“Um, I don’t want to alarm anybody” I panted “But we might need to pick up the pace a little”
