I woke up the next morning to see Lori had gone back to her bed. I must’ve fallen asleep after a while and she went back afterwards. When somebody does that for you. That’s when you know you have a best friend.

I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes. I didn’t want to get up but I had back to back meetings all day and I couldn’t miss any of them. I walked to my bathroom and took a shower and brushed my teeth. I came out in my towel to see Lori up and watching TV in bed.

“Hey” she smiled
“Hey” I almost whispered as I went to my case to get some stuff to change into.
“Adi I’m so sorry” she said suddenly and I jolted to look at her.

I didn’t want to remember what happened last night.

“Sorry about what?” I pretended to be clueless. Lori gave me a look that showed she knew I was lying. I sighed.
“I knew you really liked him. We all did”
“What do you mean ‘all’”
“The girls and I. And honestly we thought he liked you too. But I guess we were wrong”
“I guess so” I said and walked into the bathroom to get changed.

The only reason I went in there was because I just wanted to be alone for a bit. Knowing that I wasn’t the only person that thought he liked made me feel less stupid but at the same time made me feel worse about myself. I’d made my feelings obvious to everyone except the person that mattered.

I got changed for my meetings, I had to be kind of formal but it was just way too hot for tights so I found one of my favourite dresses – thank you Sam – and chunky ankle boots. I just threw my hair up into a messy ponytail and put on one of my favourite bracelets.

I walked out of the bathroom and grabbed my one and only black bag. When I came out I saw that Lori was ready to go. We didn’t say anything and walked through the door that joined our rooms together to see Sam and Violet were ready to go with huge smiles on their faces. When they saw me their faces dropped. I realized I didn’t have the same smile plastered across my face as yesterday.

I quickly faked a huge cheesy grin but they didn’t buy it.

“Get in here” Violet said grabbing my arm and dragging me to their sofa. I sat down.
“What’s happened?” Sam questioned
“Nothing” I said, not making eye contact. Sam and Violet looked at Lori.

“Luke came over last night. He told her he has a girlfriend” She said quietly.
“Shit” Violet breathed, and without even thinking about it all three of them hugged me.
“Its fine” I said in an attempt to make them get off, “It’s no big deal. It’s not like I really liked him” that made them move away and look at me oddly.
“Are you sure about that?” Sam asked
“No” I began to tremble
“It’ll be okay Adi” Violet butted in
“Look, I just want to get today over with. If I can get through today without a meltdown, maybe I can get through tomorrow. And the next day. And the next, until the end of time” I sighed
“It’s not like the relationship is going to last forever”
“He’s in love with her”

Silence.

I guess that answered my fears. The relationship probably was going to last forever. I stood up and walked to the door. They followed me, not saying a word. We walked down the corridor and into the lift. Eventually they were talking about the meetings and I just stood silently in the corner, and that did make me feel better.

I just wanted to fade into the background. I knew I had to vlog a little of today, so I would have to put on a brave face, smile and be happy.

We opened the hotel door and there was a lot of screaming, fans were everywhere taking pictures of us and putting out their hands to try and touch us. I wanted so badly to stop and say hi but we were already a little late for our meetings, we were pushed into a car and driven away.
