A few days went by and we still hadn’t heard anything from Luke. He had gone back to the tour bus after his night at Emily’s but never mentioned anything about that night.
The girls and I had already left on our own bus for DigiTour. The difficult thing was that Jake was on the bus too, he was coming with us on the tour which meant I was going to be stuck in a cramped space with him for a week of shows and rehearsals and long, long nights.
When we said goodbye to the guys, Luke wasn’t there, he always seemed to miss the goodbyes. Not that I cared this time.
It was hard for the girls to have to say goodbye as quickly as they had said hello and I had to drag them onto the bus. The first day of driving was unbearable, everybody was in such a foul mood and I was trying to avoid Jake at all costs which wasn’t working seeing as we shared a living space.
The first show went pretty well. A lot of people showed up and the audience response was great. Everybody got out from under their rain clouds of sadness and were so hyped for the next show, which was in a few hours actually.
We pulled up to the venue and hopped off the bus. The girls and I walked in so we could get something to eat, I was starving.
-Luke’s P.O.V-
The guys and I were sat on the bus relaxing for a bit with guitars. I’d been thinking about Adi and Jake ever since I saw them that night. I regretted going over to Emily’s after that. I felt like I should’ve gone to see Adi but she betrayed my trust and I didn’t want to get into that again.
I felt like the only safe place would be Emily’s apartment.
Oddly, something happened that night, I don’t know what it was but it definitely had something to do with the guys. I didn’t want to ask because what excuse would have for being at Emily’s apartment that night. I could tell them that I slept over but there was something a little off about the way that they were acting around her recently. This entire thing was just a huge mess that I wanted to fix but I had no way of doing so.
The guys had asked me a few times about Adi. About if I had found her or not that night and if I had, what I had said. I wasn’t sure why they were so interested, she came back on her own apparently but they kept asking where I went afterwards because I didn’t go back to the hotel. They were all questions I was asking myself because I honestly had no idea.
Even though I told myself every day that I was over Adi. That I was done with her. That she was a horrible, untrustworthy person and I shouldn’t get involved with her or her friends. I still missed her.
I missed her long brown hair and ripped jeans and muscle tee’s. The way she rocked back and forth a little when I made her laugh, the way she would curl up and lean on my chest while we all watched a movie together back in London all those months ago. Even that stupid nose ring. I missed it all.
But I knew that there was no way we were going to get those times back, not after this.
“Luke!” Ashton waved his hand in front of my face. I was so busy daydreaming about Adi I hadn’t realised that they were talking to me.
“Sorry! Yeah?” I said quickly
“We’re at some convention centre to get food and then we’re leaving, If you want something we have to go now”I nodded and put my guitar down, walking off the bus with the boys.
As we went into the convention centre, I noticed a second bus pulled up in the car park. It had the words “The DigiTour” plastered along the side.
Where had I heard that name before? What even was it?
I shrugged and walked inside with the others to get food. Just as we walked into the first huge room, I saw something I didn’t think I would see again for months. Something I wanted to see so badly, but also wanted to erase from mind.
