It was a beautiful morning, the sunlight reaching her room and illuminating it very prettyly. Chaeyoung opened her eyes and was again drifting to sleep when she realized that it's a school day.

She quikly got ready for school, wearing an oversized grey sweater and black skinny jeans, her hair lying beautifully on her shoulders.

On her way to school she met Chenle along with Jisung, He waved at her happily and she waved back although She was extremely surprised to see Jisung in school after a long time but nevermind she went inside the school with her best friend on her side.

flashback
"Jisung you can't skip school like this, your starting from today now go get ready."Taeyong ordered. "But-hyung?"
He was cut off when Taeyong said "Just go and get ready, don't waste your time Jisung...I know what's good for you."
That's how Jisung ended up in school today.

Chenle was seated beside Chaeyoung, both of them admiring the view outside their class window when Chaeyoung suddenly asked "How come Jisung is back? I thought he left or something"

"He didn't wanted to but well he had to cuz we all do" Chenle answered eyes now on her as she too looked at him and hummed in response.

"So basically your leader ordered him and he couldn't disobey" she mumbled after a while at which Chenle let out a slight laugh but hummed nonetheless.

The boy was leaning back on his chair whilst running a hand through his hair when his eyes caught something he never thought he'd see soo soon.

"Um Chae you didn't tell me you met your soulmate and didn't even tell me" he asked in utter shock.
That was enough to bring her out of her thoughts, hoping he was pulling out a sick joke which he unfortunately wasn't.

"What are you talking about lele?" she mutteted eyes trained on her bestfriend in pure shock.

"But the dove on your wrist it's glowing and you know what it means, don't you?"He asked worried.

She quickly drifted her eyes to her wrist making her mouth fell agape. "Tell me its a joke?" she said as she looked at him wide eyed without absolutely no idea about who in the world was her newfound soulmate. "Hey don't worry we'll find out soon"  Chenle comforted her as he patted her   lightly on the head careful not to mess up her hair but he for a moment and wiggled his brows at her suggestively and whispered in her ear " it could be Ji-" but was cut off with a dramatic "Noo" as she huffed and with annoyed expression on her face full of disbelief.

"Fine lets see how long you have left to live" He said with a smirk on his face earning a slap on his leg.

The bell for lunch rang and Chenle grabed her hand as they together made their way to the table already occupied by the Dream members, hands swaying as they teasingly bumped shoulders every now and then.

Jaemin waved at her and and patted the seat next to him indicating her to sit there and she did, leaving Chenle to sit infront of her, particularly beside Jisung who was sitting there with a blank face while the others were talking to Chaeyoung.

"Hey! Jisung you found your soulmate hah?" Jaemin mentioned looking at his wrist,  as everyone one's eyes were on Jisung including Chaeyoung who herself found out about her mark today. "It doesn't really matter" the younger replied not even bothering to atleast glance at his wrist as he simply shrugged and stabbed a fork in his food internally cursing the whole soulmate thing.

Chenle had every worst possibility going through his head as he grabbed Jisung's wrist to examine the mark clearly and it was indeed a dove just like hers. He looked up at Chaeyoung who was equally puzzed, not ever once has she thought about the possibility of Jisung to turn out as her soulmate not after he dismissed his mark so carelessly.

"No! Chenle this can't be, not here no." she pleaded but the boy pulled the sleeve of her sweater revealing the same mark which shocked everyone including Jisung who was more than irritated about the situation, the idea of him with a soulmate was nothing but purely absurd in his eyes,  "Wow great but let me tell you i dont need a soulmate" with that he left the cafeteria in angry strides.

He said it like having a soulmate is nothing but his words had a great effect on her and she too left the cafeteria without a word, tears rolling down her cheeks when she reached a bench at the school ground, she couldn't handle it anymore and she fell on her kness, mind not working properly as his words keep going through her mind and she cried harder, all she ever wished was to have a soulmate and having him disregard her like that was more than painful.

Unable to stop herself until two arms encircled her comfortingly and she stopped for a moment knowing it was him.
