I only sleep to dream of forever with you

There they stood in front of his mother's grave, nothing could equate to the pain he was feeling at that moment, all painful memories of his past resurfacing again, he was afraid of losing anyone else, to him it was his fault that his mother died. She died because she loved him, because she cared for him, because she made him happy, because she would do anything for him. Park Da Eun, she was his mother afterall, the one he cherished alot.

He only visited her grave once a year, the guilt lingering inside him wouldn't let him, he always believed it was his fault, he could've saved her, that bullet was meant for him not her. He saw her die infront of his own eyes, the life leaving her eyes that once held so much happiness that it was impossible to not smile when he looked at her. He remembered everything she did for him, her warm motherly hugs and short forehead kisses, that was all he needed but what now she was gone forever, it's been three years but he's still not over her death.

Even the thought of not being able to see her again terrifies him so much that he just wants to hide forever, leave and never comeback.

The memories of her that left him wounded, a hole in his heart, he felt would never be filled until Chaeyoung came. The only reason he was living not just surviving, she gave him his lost happiness. She gave him the love he craved for, the warm hugs he longed for, she gave him all of her.

Not being able to stand anymore he fell to his knees, hot tears escaping his eyes like a waterfall, running down his soft cheeks, hands trembling as he traced the dried flower petals scattered over her grave. Chaeyoung crouched down beside him, hand on his back as she rubbed it up and down in an attempt to calm him, tell him he wasn't alone. At the mere touch of her hand he broke down, soft sobs escaping his mouth, hands no longer on the grave instead on his face trying to stop the upcoming wave of tears but no avail they just weren't stopping.

"She's gone ,Love, gone forever" he whispered in a shaky voice, there was nothing but void in his eyes and it scared her, Jisung was never open with his feelings, he always masked it with a cold look. Ask him and he'll say he's fine but he never was, since his mother died he was scared of having a soulmate though he craved for one, but he was afraid, afraid that he won't be enough and will be left alone. He didn't wanted someone so fucked up like himself to end up with a pure soul, he didn't wanted Chaeyoung to end up like how his mother did because the price of loving him was nothing but death.

"Ji, it's not your fault, she wouldn't like to see you like this, live your life for her, i know it's hard but you're not alone, i'm here for you" she whispered back in hopes to make him feel better, it was new to them both, sometimes they would even question their abilities as soulmates but they knew no matter what they are there for each other.

"My dad, he killed her and he-" his voice cracked as the piercing scream of his mother replayed in his mind. "It's okay you don't have to tell me, Ji" she mumbled softly. He wiped away his tears as he shook his head and finally prepared himself to tell her everything, the past of his that he never wanted to even utter a word about, something so painful that held the memory of when he last saw his mother.

The fifteen year old boy, seated on his bed as he tied his laces, he could still hear the distant screaming of his dad from downstairs, his dad was a drunk addict always arguing and insulting DaEun, who in return never raised her voice on him until today which shocked the boy, he was told to never step between when his parents fight but that day it was different. He heard his mother shout at his father then the sound of glass shattering.

That sound was enough for him to sprint downstairs, there he saw the shattered glass along with his dad who had slapped his mom the moment he entered the living room, he ran as he wrapped his arms around his mother who had angry tears in her eyes.

She was fed up of her husband using her as a healing medicine, he never loved her, he stayed away many nights with other women not even bothering to stay with his soulmate, he never even smiled at her, no sweet talks no nothing.

"He's fucking going to work for me and that's final!" his dad growled making his mom squint out of her son's grip as she strided over to her husband as she did the most unexpected thing, she slapped him hard across the face, well no she didn't stop she slapped him again at which he pushed her away. "You never treated me like a human let alone your soulmate, atleast treat him like your son, for gods sake he's your blood!" she yelled furious, because now her so called husband wants his son to work for him as a drug supplier, she didn't wanted her one and only child to do her husband's dirty work. Sure she knew Jisung joined a mafia, the most dangerous one at that but she didn't trusted him with her husband even though he was Jisung's father.

"Bitch! how dare you?, i'll make you pay and he will pay the price of your mistake" his dad growled as he pulled out his gun, he was no mafia member but he sure knew how to use a gun he did all the dirty work afterall.

As if on cue Taeyong entered the house, he came to pick Jisung up, his dad knew him as Jisung's math tutor unknown to the fact he was the leader of the most dangerous mafia, NCT.

Jisung got distracted for a moment because of the door creaking and that resulted in the gunshot going off, which shocked both Taeyong and Jisung as the bullet was now disposed in his mother's skull, Jisung saw the life leaving her eyes as blood dripped down her face and her eyes rolled back, body about to fall limp but Jisung caught her. He was in denial, he didn't believed the fact that his father just shot his mother dead. He felt so much that even tears didn't escaped his eyes, he tried shaking her but she never woke up.

[End of Flashback]

After an hour or so, they left for Busan, seated comfortably in the train, hands intertwined as her head rested on his shoulder and his over hers, they didn't really talked but the silence wasn't killing, it was more comfortable and understanding as they stayed in eachother's embrace until a loud bang of a gunshot sounded through the quiet air.
