Saudade

The Past

It's been several months since Mina didn't made a contact to her friends. They didn't know what happened to their friend and they are worried. Especially Jimin.

He is so miserable that her grandfather and friends are worried about him. And this started the day Mina didn't contact them.

He feels loss. He feels lonely now that he thinks that no one beside him. He already figured out his feeling towards Mina and planned to tell her when she comes back to Korea. But it seems like all those imagination was fallen apart.

Those time with her is his happiest moments. She makes him smile after all he'd been through. From his mother left him and his father's betrayal. She's the only person who can make him calm if he thinks about them.

Jimin is in his room now. He would just sit on the floor, leaning his back on the bed. He is always in his own world. His grandfather always ask a maid to deliver his meal but he would only eat 2-4 spoons of it.

The knock on the door was heard. As always, he didn't mind to tell that person to come in. The door opened then Minhyuk came in. He didn't mind him.

"Jimin.."

He walks closer to him and crouch down to his level to meet his eyes.

"Aishh... We really need to do something to you."

He close his eyes for 3 seconds while shooking his head. He put a gripped on his shoulder that makes him look at Minhyuk.

"Dress up. I'll take you somewhere."

"Hyung, why did you bring me here?" Jimin ask while digging his hands in the pockets of his hoodie.

When Minhyuk told him to dress up, he didn't mind to chose a nice outfit and just took hi grey hoodie and white shorts.

Minhyuk took him to the amusement park. Minhyuk keeps showing his smile to make him lighten.

"To cheer you up!! C'mon Jimin. It's been months now. And all you did was wasting your time inside your house, doing nothing."

Jimin stares at the children that is happily running around. Minhyuk's words stuck on his head. Now he finally realized what he's been wasting.

"Now, let's go have some fun here."

He put his arm around his shoulder and pulled him to one of the rides. Somehow, he forgets about Mina.

He was having so much fun now thanks to his Hyung. But when a certain game was spotted, he suddenly remembers Mina. They would always play on the ring game where they always win a prize.

"Sir, are you alright?"

A female voice suddenly heard from his side. And he just realized that Minhyuk was put buying snacks for the both of them.

"Y-yeah. I'm alright."

"Hm.. you seemed like a tear fell from your eyes."

Jimin didn't notice that a tear fell. He was too occupied of the memory he remembered.

"Don't be sad. I'm sure whatever your problems may be, there's always a bright side. Like Dory said, ' There's always another way' "

She said, mimicking the characters voice making a small giggle escape from him.

"Omo! There, you're laughing now."
She said in excitement.

"Thanks for entertaining me..."

"Narin, Choi Narin."

"Ahh.. Park Jimin." He said and offered an handshake.

She gladly accept it and they both smiled.

At that day forward, they would always meet unexpectedly. To his surprise, she lives near their village so they would meet on the park so sudden.

Jimin also likes her company. He feels like he went back to the Jimin he used to be. And her jipap and friends are happy for him.

"I have an idea! Why don't we buy ice cream?" Narin ask him.

This time, they planned to hang out. Jimin was the one who took her phone number to hang out.

"That would be fun."

"I'm happy for you, Chim." Minhyuk said.

They are now in the living room of his house together with the others. They are so glad to see Jimin happy again after Mina disappeared.

"Me too, oppa. I've been so annoyed seeing you silent before."

All of them giggled at what Tzuyu said. They are about to talk further when his grandfather called him in his office.

"Anything wrong, Jipap?"

His grandfather released a sigh and sat on his swivel chair. He look at Jimin like wanted to ask something.

"Will you be my Girlfriend, Narin?"

Jimin ask while holding both of her hands. They are now at the cafe where they always meet.

Jimin's eyes are full of Hope while waiting for her answer. After months of getting to know her, he found himself falling inlove to her.

She makes him happy. She makes him feel that he's not alone anymore.

"Of course, Jimin." She answered.

She stood up to embrace him. She also have a hidden feelings for him. She is just waiting for him to ask her that.

Jimin feels so happy that time. He finally have someone beside him. At some time, he forgets about Mina.

"I'm sorry, Jimin. But I need to end this."

"But why?" Jimin ask in tears, begging to not leave him.

"Jimin, I'm leaving soon. And I don't want to hurt you. I know you won't handle long distance relationship."
She said as she wipes his tears.

"I can do that, just please. Don't leave me too, Narin."

He keeps begging to her not to leave but the girl already decided. She walks away from his house with heavy heart. It hurts her to see Jimin like that. But she has no choice. She too can't take long distance relationship. After a year in a relationship.

Her father wanted to send her to Canada to continue her studies and she can't do anything to resist it.

She loves him. He also loves her.

Jimin return the feeling when Mina left him and never came back. Because of Narin, he forgot all the pain he felt before and learned to smile again.
