We danced down the road, blaring music from Carters phone. It felt as though we'd been walking for days, every time we found somewhere to stay, someone in the group hated it. Everyone who said they would ignore Daisy had kept their word, but she didn't seem to notice, she just held on to Hayes' arm and stayed tucked away behind him.
Me and Ally spun around dancing with our arms flying and twirling and swirling all over the place, we were super deep into the woods by now and I was worrying we'd never find anywhere. Ally had resigned her dancing so that she could walk with Cam who had been left with the job of pushing the trolley full of our bags.
I walked ahead on my own, squinting through the dark to find an opening for our tents. Suddenly I was encased in a huge jumper.
"Thank you" I smiled up at Nash, who grinned back and took my hand. I didn't pull away, but I had no idea what it meant. After at least another twenty minutes, we came to a huge clearing.
"It's perfect!" I exclaimed, jumping up and down and beaconing everyone forward with my arms. Everyone oohed and ahed at the sight.
"COMON THEN BOYS. LETS GET TO WORK." Shouted Taylor in a deep manly voice and the boys all stuck out their chests and began putting tents together in the middle of the clearing while the girls sat and watched, laughing as they struggled to work out how the pieces for together.
After a while, us girls decided to explore and walked into the woods, it was impossible to see and we stumbled over random twigs and twisted strips of grass.
"Let's play truth!" Yelled Kathryn who was the furthest into the woods, her pink face turned towards us. We all responded with unenthusiastic 'sure's and 'okay's.
"Kay, so let's start." She said, "who would you date out of any of the boys back in the camp?" She asked.
Mahogany answered first, a little shyly, "probably Aaron, I mean, he's the sweetest one and he's super funny and cute as well." We all smiled at her before Daisy spoke up.
"I'd date Hayes, but I don't think I count because I kinda already am." She said, almost slyly as if waiting for a reaction.I bit my tongue to stop myself from reminding her that she was leaving to go back to England in less than a week and hopefully not returning for a very long time. The only response she did get was from Lexi who said "You are so lucky Dais," she purred, glaring at me with a smirk, it was at that moment that I realised she was deliberately trying to piss me off, I also remembered that she had been there when I'd shared my opinion of Daisy to the group. Shit. "But I'm sure it's because your so pretty with your dark hair and stuff, did you know, most boys prefer brunettes to blondes? I guess were all lucky to have dark hair, right?" She giggled and then pretended to only just notice that I did not have brunette or black hair and covered her mouth with her to try make it seem like she genuinely didn't mean to say that.
"Oh my god, I am SO sorry Amelia." She said, although she was clearly not at all sorry. I ground my teeth together and fought the urge to slap her ridiculously made-up face.
"Do you know what's weird about that?" Interrupted Ally, "that you have dark hair,Lexi," she stated, lifting up a clump of Lexi's short hair, "and yet you've not have a boyfriend in years, in fact, didn't you ask Nash out just last week and he rejected you?" Then she reenacted Lexis fake 'I didn't mean to say that' routine, complete with her hand over her mouth. Lexi puffed up her cheeks, spun around and headed back to camp.
I smirked at her tiny butt as she sashayed back through the forest and looked towards Ally, she winked and continued forward.
"I would date Cameron, but you'd all already know that, as he's my boyfriend and all." She grinned.
"You still need to tell me about that." I whispered to her.
"All in good time, my darling." She whispered back taking my hand as we walked.
"What about you Mils?" Asked Kathryn.
I sighed, knowing that if it were daytime, they'd all see my face turn to a deep shade of scarlet.
"Nash." I replied simply.
"YOU still need to tell me about THAT." Whispered Ally with a smile.
"All in good time." I mimicked smiling back.
"Really? I would never have guessed! I mean you could have anyone, obviously, your gorgeous, but I'm still surprised!" Kathryn was saying, oblivious to mine and Ally's whispers.
"Were gonna go this way." Ally called to the girls as she tugged my arm to follow her.
"We are?" I asked, after the girls' goodbyes had quietened.
"Yes, you and me need to talk."
