The next day was the day my mother decided to thrown her barbeque, using Camerons recovery as an excuse to throw the house party. After the doctors had checked Cam for any long term problems and discovered he had none, they were quick to agree to him coming home. He was due to here with Allison at around three and everyone else was coming at 12:30.
So, here I was, at 9am, raking leaves from the garden and decorating cakes with my mum whilst every other person on the street lie comfortably in their beds. Lucky me.
"JAMES!" I yelled, "GET YOUR LAZY BUTT DOWN HERE AND HELP ME SORT OUT THE GARDEN FOR MUM!"
"Hell no." He replied stubbornly, sticking his piggy fingers into the biscuit tin and pulling out a handful.
"Your disgusting."
"Your mums disgusting." He shot back.
"My mum is your mum, douche."
"Shame."
"That doesn't make sense!" I spat back glaring at him.
"Do I look like I care?" He asked, smirking at me.
I didn't reply, just splashed a handful of washing up water at him before stalking back into the garden.
"Need some help?" Someone called over the fence as I hung a 'welcome back!' Banner from the trees - mum got way too into these things. I looked over to find a shirtless Nash watching me.
"You'd be a life saver!" I said, smiling.
"I'll be round in five." He called, making his way back to the house and (unfortunately) pulling a shirt over his head.
As promised, a few minutes later, he strode into the garden, arms linked with my mum.
"Hey girlie!" My mum called, trying to be 'down with the kids' but just sounding like a mum trying to be down with the kids to be honest.
"Hi." I growled, my frustration growing as I struggled to hook the banner on a branch.
"Need some help?" Nash called up.
"No, I enjoy the struggle." I told him sarcastically.
"Well, someone's not having a very good day." He replied, taking the banner from me and winking.
"Ya think?" I told him, watching as he easily hung the banner up, "first I have to wake up extreamly early in the morning, then I have to clean the entire garden, then I have to make food, sort out my brothers, who aren't helping me I might add, all the while my mum busies herself by making herself look pretty." I sighed heavily, "And I'm not even dressed!"
He smiled, "you know, your adorable when your frustrated." He said, pulling me into a hug and kissing the top of my head.
"Shutup." I said, pushing his chest back, I don't appreciate being made fun of.
"Aw, you love me really." He smiled, poking the end of my nose. So, I did what any mature girl would do, I stuck my tongue out at him.
Nash helped me for the rest of the morning, both of us slaving away in the sunshine, before I left to get dressed.
I quickly threw on a flowery sundress and converse and left my hair to hang wavy down my back. When I returned to find Nash though he'd disappeared from the garden.
"Mum?" I called down the stairs, "Where did Na-" I was cut of by a scream from James room.
"No way man! That's three times in a row!"
I crept into my brothers cave, blinking a few times for my eyes to adjust to the darkness. His curtains were drawn, the lights of and the only thing visible was the blinding tv screen.
"Are you kidding me? I left you two minutes and your already ditching me for COD?"
Nash looked up from the screen to grin at me. "If it makes you feel any better, I'm totally kicking his ass."
"Eurgh, please come back outside with me, I don't want to speak to everyone on my own! Plus mum says she invited someone she met the other day."
"Nope, not gonna happen, I'm halfway through the match." He didn't even looking at me as he spoke this time.
"What if I make you a deal?" I asked.
"What kind of deal?"
"If I beat you in a match, you can't play this at all for the rest of the day." I said, gesturing to the Xbox, "and if you win..."
"I'm aloud to draw a sharpie tattoo on you of whatever I want, wherever I want it."
"Eurgh, fine." I agreed, grabbing the controller from James.
We played one on one, at first he shot me out of nowhere like twenty times, but soon I was scoring headshots from rooftops and learning how to stick bombs to his character. In the end we got a draw.
"So what now?" Nash said.
"Rematch?" I suggested.
"Or," said James, staring hungrily at his controller in my hand and looking as if he'd snatch it from me at any moment, "you could both win, you have to stay of the xbox for the rest of today and you have to have a sharpie tattoo?"
"Okay!" Nash and I replied in unison.
"Just not the face!" I said as he grabbed a sharpie and pulled of the lid.
He tutted at me, "you promised wherever!" He reminded me.
I shot him a death glare as he bought the sharpie to my face...
***Later***
"You did not let Nash sharpie your face?" Ally scolded, rushing over to me in her cute white dress and denim jacket, "tell me this is a messed up joke?"
"Unfortunately not, my boyfriend turned me into Harry Potter." I sighed.
After Nash had finished his creation, I had looked in the mirror to find two huge, black, circular glasses around my eyes and a lightning bolt on my forehead.
"I'm gonna kill him for ruining your perfect face." She scowled, not finding Nash's drawing even slightly funny. Cam, however, took one look at my face and began howling with laughter.
"Come with me." Ally demanded, I just stared at her for a moment, "Now." She told me stermly and so I followed her back towards the house; I was not gonna argue with an angry Allison.
