Grizz was walking to his class when everything that had happened at the hospital really sank in. He was still trembling and now that he was out of his mother's sight, he felt like his legs were about to give in. He was now fully panicking, feeling betrayed, disgusting and filthy.
In the few things he could still distinguish with his teary eyes, he spotted the bathrooms and ran to hide. He locked himself up in a loo and sobbed, whimpered and hyperventilated. All his previous abuse was rushing in his mind and he couldn't help all the flashbacks from torturing his confused mind.
Grizz stayed there for the rest of the morning, unable to calm himself down. Oh how he wished he would have just passed out, but his body and mind were decided not to relieve him from this mental hell.
When the class ended at noon, a few students came in the bathrooms and he tried to muffle his whines as best as he could but knew people could easily hear him.
During this time, Luke, Clark and Jason were worriedly wondering about their friend.
"Guys, did you see Grizz again this morning ?" Clark asked while eating his lunch at the cafeteria.
"Well, I'm supposed to have history with him during fourth period but he never showed up..." Jason answered, concerned.
"We kinda argued before classes and I haven't seen him since. Maybe he went home because of me..." Luke said sadly.
"I'm sure it wasn't that bad, Luke. I don't know what happened, but Grizz wouldn't leave us hanging like that. Not today..." Jason added reassuringly.
He was definitely the wise one in their group, well except for Grizz.
"I'm kind of worried, guys. With his mother coming back, I don't really know how he's feeling and that's really scary." Clark finished, returning to his lunch.
"Guys !" Sam interrupted.
He looked panicked and really confused. He started signing really fast and his mouthing wasn't enough for the team to understand what he was hysterically saying.
"Wow, Sam. Just calm down, dude. We can't understand you like that." Jason said, trying to get Sam to sit with them.
Sam tried to breathe slowly and calmed down a bit.
"I'm worried about Grizz !" he whispered urgently.
"What about him ?" Clark asked, straightening himself on his chair.
"We talked earlier and kind of sorted our problems, but then a nurse came in and told him his mother was waiting for him in front of the school." Sam tried to explain as best as he could.
"Yeah, we know, Ellen's alive. Kind of old news, Sam." Luke said desinterestedly.
"No, no, that's not the issue here ! She said it was about Logan. Apparently he was waking up today and Ellen took Grizz to go see him." Sam finally said.
"What ?!" Clark almost shouted.
"And you let him go, Sam ?!" Luke accused the ginger.
"He didn't leave me any choice, Luke ! He forced me to stay behind and told me he would be back for lunch."
"Well he's obviously not !" Jason said angrily.
"Exactly ! And that's why I'm coming to you guys. I haven't seen him since and I'm really worried. I have no idea how their reunion went but we all can imagine how Grizz must have felt..." Sam answered sadly.
