Monae's POV
I was pondering deeply on her words, sitting on the island table and didn't realise my hand was still on the cheek that was slapped till Roxie entered the kitchen. "Honey are you having a toothache?" She inquired, her face mirroring concern.
"Uh no." I diverted her attention from my posture, "do you need me for something?" I knew she didn't believe me when I said I ain't having a toothache with the way she was looking at me and it was no use prolonging it or trying to convince.
"Yeah I need you to go to the wine cellar and take two bottles of Screaming Eagle Cabernet for the guests, they're in the parlor." With that she exited the kitchen, smiling happily to herself.
Roxie has been so busy, she's super excited since telling us about the visit. Going about and making sure everything is in place and perfect, it is like she misses them very much.
I also left the kitchen, going to the cellar to do the bidding. After searching more than two racks, I found the said wine, picking them, I forgot I took no tray when coming here so I retraced my steps back to the kitchen.
Then I carefully made my way up the stairs lest I fall down with the bottles and ruin everything, hurting myself in the process.
The door to the parlor opened just when I made an attempt to open it. The person I badly don't want to set my eyes on today, tomorrow and forever came right through the door and stared at me. I know that isn't going to be possible cause we live under the same room, we're bound to see each other and even now that there are visitors around.
He opened his mouth to speak but I beat him to it. "Excuse me Rex, I don't wanna hear anything you have to say."
I made for the door but he was quick in blocking my way by standing at the door, barring me from going inside there to deliver the wine. "Nae please."
"Move out of my way, move!" He was seriously pissing me off with his stupidity. Can't he see I don't wanna give no audience to what he has to say or is he so blind?
"Nae please." He pleaded and for a sec I thought it was genuine but nah Rex can never be not after what he did to me whatever he wants to say is gonna end up with me hurting and I don't want it. "Just listen to me and I'll allow you go in there."
"And why would I listen listen to you?"
"Because we both know you don't want to get mother angry by keeping her visitors waiting." I was right, he can never be genuine. He knows what's going to happen yet he is delaying me here.
"What's your motive Rex? Do you love it when she scolds and yells at me?"
"No I don't I just want to have a talk with you, a serious talk, tonight in your room or any where you want please Nae. Please say yes."
I weighed the options if saying yes is going to get me outta here fast and into that room then fine even if I have to tolerate Rex tonight.
What I don't need is Mrs Winchester yelling at me again when I haven't even gotten over what happened back there in the kitchen. "Fine, now move." I sneered at him.
"You won't regret is thank you." He then tried to force himself on me by pulling me into a hug but I stopped him, I'm holding a tray with a glass bottles idiot. "Uh I'll see you."
I rolled my eyes and him, "whatever." But what he did next surprised me.
Rex opened the door for me, a smile on his face. "My part of the deal."
"Yeah right." I said boredly and stepped inside but made sure to slam the door in his face, muttering under my breath, "jerk."
I was done dealing with him, not for now though but I wasn't done with his mother. She was the first to notice to me, she probably heard the door slamming though she was engaged in a conversation with the redhead woman beside her.
