I quite remember from the comments, someone wanted to know who Elyse is screwing so this chapter is dedicated to her😊.

Michy's POV

Descending the last step, I wrapped the towel around my waist tightly when I saw a shadow cast on the floor, making me know there was someone lurking around my home.

That got me on high alert, I treaded cautiously towards the living room, hoping to nab whoever it was.

It is impossible for any stranger to barge into my house given the tight security at the entrance but I can't take any risk with Mrs Winchester ready to deal us a blow. I'm not scared of her or her threats, like I said I can't any risk.

I'm aware of how dangerous she can be. She isn't just baby tricks, Morganna can be a beast when she wants to me and I can't let a single mistake have me cry and wishing I had been more cautious.

I was making for the kitchen when I heard banging on the door, it was too persistent to be ignored.

Looking warily towards the kitchen, I huffed audibly and dashed for the door, making a mental not to check the security cameras when I'm done with whoever is at the door.

I punched in the security code, unlocking the door and wrenched it open. Shawn who had been resting his whole weight against it, came stumbling to the floor.

I wasn't quick enough to prevent the fall and I mistook it for him being a klutz like he is sometimes until I noticed from the sharp scent emanating from from him.

He putting all his on me confirmed Shawn was drunk to the core, too drank to stand properly on his two feet without assistant.

How then could he have driven here without getting into an accident? I threw his hand around my shoulder and circled the other around my waist as I helped him into the living room, "how did you come here?"

"Cab."

"Why the fuck are you drinking man? You just got discharged
from the hospital, are you planning on going back?" I slumped him on the couch but pulled him up by the collar, "if you plan to, then forget about me visting you there, I'd rather help em kill your stupid ass!" I hissed, unlatching my hand from his collar.

If he has suddenly forgotten the corpse he nearly became while hanging onto the single thread of his life on his hospitable bed then I haven't forgotten.

I can recall it all vividly as if it was just happening. And I'm not ready to embark on that journey again, I don't want to feel what I felt when I thought I had lost my friend.

No way do I want to go down that road again.

I watched him fall back limply, I instantly regretted my harsh words directed at him when I saw his eyes glistening with tears.

"Believe me man, I'm not planning on going back but I had no choice than resort to alcohol--"

"Why did you have to?" I raised my voice and yet again regretted it. I was allowing my emotions get the best of me, so I breathed in and out. Calming down, I tried once more, "you heard the doctor's advice so why did you go against it?"

"This pain here," the way he drawled out his words amd pointing to his heart, achingly, caused a very familiar feeling to flood me. He hasn't told me why yet but I think I have gotten his reason.

If it isn't his wife then I don't know who else can make Shawn like this. She's the only one who holds much influence and place in his life after the death of his parents in a ghastly fire accident, which is understandable. Elyse was there by his side through out.
