Monae's POV

"Oh gosh!" I cried out in pain as I gripped my head. I have been having this throbbing sensation at the left side of my head since I woke up minutes ago. It's hurting so bad I wouldn't be able to attend classes today.

I'll send a message to Mrs Farah Bin Mohammed, explaining my condition to her. I'm sure she will understand and permit me write the test we're having today.

Reaching for my phone from the night stand was a problem, I gave up and fell back on the bed cautiously. I rested my head on the pillow as I pulled the covers over my body and even my head and shut my eyes, hoping to get some sleep. Maybe after sleeping, the pain will subside or vanish totally cause my head is throbbing like a bitch.

Though the pain was unbearable, I managed to allow sleep take over my body.

I woke up when I heard and felt someone tap me repeatedly. I groaned in annoyance, whoever it was has done me a great wrong, the pains shot back with full force as I opened my eyes and pulled the cover off my head to look at the person.

All my annoyance vanished when I saw who it was, it was the man who for some unknown reason has recently been disturbing my sleep all because he told me he cares about me so much. I've been giving so much thoughts to what he said on most nights that I lost sleep, I wouldn't be surprised that was the reason for the headache.

Michy crouched beside the bed and when he saw me, concern immediately rushed to his face. "Nae are you okay?"

Okay so we've started with the nickname thing, well he did after his outburst in his car weeks ago. He began addressing me as Nae and never Monae. I love it how it sounds when he says it and with the smiles and charming aura he adds to it. He never cease to impress me with anything he does and I'm beginning to think there's a reason behind him doing all that.

"No I'm not." I muttered, clutching my head as I tried to sit up in bed, the pains were getting too much. "I'm having this bitch of a headache right now."

He lifted his weight from the floor and sat beside me. Michy brought his hand to my head as he felt my temperature. "And you didn't find it necessary to tell me about it?" I could tell he was a little mad at me for that.

So I gave him puppy eyes, to calm him down and not get him upset the more. "It isn't that..I wasn't able to do anything so I decided to get some sleep hoping the headache will get better."

"And is it better?"

"It's still the same.. I don't know what is happening to me, I feel like this side of my head wants to explode." I told him, tapping on the left side of my head.

"Do you have a history of migraine?"

"Migraine?" I furrowed my brows, that wasn't a foreign word. I remember while back in Ghana I had this headache like this and the doctor we went to telling me it was migraine. It didn't happen again so I thought it was gone forever and that I wasn't going to experiencing it again. "Yeah I do, I had it only once."

He got up from the bed, making me look at him sharply though my head was still aching. "I'm coming, I'll be back." Was all he said before he left.I fell back into bed to wait for him.

Minutes has passed and he still wasn't back, the throbbing hadn't subsided either so I closed my eyes, falling asleep again.

*******

Slowly, my eyes flickered open, coming into contact with the light from the bed side lamp. It was intense than usual, I shielded my eyes with the back of my hand and turned to face the other side.
