"KAISER" my mother yelled from downstairs, "yes mother?" I yelled back, "I'm going back to the hospital!" she responds. "I left Chinese food in the fridge, don't wait up!" I roll my eyes as I stare blankly at my computer screen, like I ever wait up I thought to myself. I close my laptop and sit down on my bed. I look over at the picture of my father sitting underneath my lamp. I pick it up, "I wonder what adventure you face today" I said to myself as I admire my strong confident father in his army uniform. I lay down now staring at the celling. Only one more year I thought to myself. One more year till I leave this town. One more year till I make a difference in the world. One more year... I rolled over turned off the light and drifted to sleep listening to the sound of the thunderstorm.
