The next day went by slow, all I wanted was to go to the pond and talk to Melody. I know she's being rude and closed off for a reason, but there was something about her that made me feel at ease. Something that made me excited for the next day and the day after that. "HELLOOOOO earth to Kaiser" Kaylen said waving her hands infront of my face. It was only then when I was brought back to reality that it was 6th period and I was sitting in the library with my two best friends. "What's going on with you dude? You're distracted in class, at practice, with us." He said "it's nothing I'm just thinking" I responded. He rolled his eyes and went back to studying. "I know what this is about" Kaylen looked me straight in the eyes "whos the girl?" She asked. She opened the year book I had returned to her and opened it up to the page I must have folded over. "There's no girl" I said. But it was too late they were both scanning the page to figure out who it was. "It's this girl, isn't it?" Kaylen said tapping her finger on Melody. "Why would you think that?" I said. "We're not stupid, we know people in first period English with Miss Mallory" Eric said. I rolled my eyes scanning over the book I had checked out. I decided to reread The chronicles of Narnia during school to see if there was something in it that would give me more insight to Melodys personality. "Just be careful" Kaylen said. "Why would you say that?" I said looking up at her. "You can't tell what a person is going through over an English assignment" she said. "We'll see" I responded and went back to reading.
