That night at around 10:30pm we met at the pond. I got there a bit early to just sit back and relax. Melody arrived not long after, she didn't greet me, she just sat putting her book bag down next to her and grabbing the joint from behind her ear. "Lets get this over with" she said grabbing the crumpled assignment sheet from her bag. As she straightened out the assignment sheet I took notice of her bag. It had a phrase stitched into it. I traced my finger over the stitching, "Nobody said it was easy..." it read. "Coldplay?" I said almost in a form of a question even though I knew it was a lyric from the song The Scientist. "Are you a listener or an admirer of the listeners?" She said back. "I'm an occasional listener" I said "no such thing" she responded lighting her joint. "A listener is a supporter, someone who feels and sees the music. An admirer is someone who wishes to have such passion" she added. "What does that make me?" I said. "An admirer" she said without giving it a second thought and with that she switched over to the assignment.
