Chapter 44 - Antonio: Part 2

Angie's POV:

- Wait! - Edmond shouted and everyone turned to him in confusion - Out of my way... - he hissed and I couldn't understand what was his plan at first.

He went straight to Antonio and listened his heartbeat. After a few seconds he looked up and pulled all the machine's out then he pulled a little bottle out of his jacket pocket with red elixir inside while he opened his mouth.

Wait... I know what is that!

- What the hell are you doing?! - snapped Pablo.

- Shut up for a second! - Edmond hissed, not even looking at him.

- What did you just...

- Pablo, please... - I begged him and he grew quiet.

Meanwhile Edmond added three drop of his elixir into Antonio's mouth.

- This should work... - he sighed.

- What is that elixir? - questioned the doctor who was standing behind him.

- It's better be my secret - Edmond replied - Now we need to wait...

- Wait for what?! - cried my mother - He's dead!

- Mom, please...

- Angelica... - said Edmond calmly - Trust me...

Mom was really confused and so was German. Vilu and Pablo was already outside the room.

- Angie... - German started.

- I don't know if it works... - I muttered - We need to wait...

I really don't know if it works... I only heard from Edmond that he has saved someone's life with this once. Also that he got this from his "stepfather" before he died, but that's another story...

----- TIME SKIP -----

German's POV:

We have been waiting for 2 hours and nothing happens. Maybe the count was wrong and this elixir doesn't work at all.

I have been walking around for a while now when I heard the count saying:

- My friend... A stepfather... Don't let me down now, my savior... My savior who saved me from going insane...

"Saved me from going insane"? What is that supposed to mean?

Just then with a huge breath Antonio woke up which made everyone jump for a second.

- No way... - muttered Pablo while I quickly went to get a doctor.

- This is impossible! - he said as he saw the confused Antonio looking around while Angelica hugged him.

Meanwhile Angie hugged and kissed the count who sighed in relief and returned everything, but he seemed really weak now. Was he really that worried as well?

- He's alive! - Violetta cried too as I hugged her and now I couldn't help, but cry in happiness too.

Angie's POV:

It worked! Antonio is alive and the doc just said he can go home tomorrow, but he needs someone to look after him so my mom will go with him.

In happiness I couldn't think straight and I hugged German tightly. He seemed surprised for a second then he just hugged me back and I actually felt really happy and calm now.

Edmond offered them a car and Bertuccio who will take them home so none of them has to drive, but none of them could anyway.

- Thank you... - I cried as I hugged Edmond tightly - You saved him...

- I'm relieved that it actually worked on him... - Edmond replied - For Faria it didn't work... - he sighed painfully.

- He would be proud of you that you saved another life with his elixir... - I smiled.

He looked at me for few seconds then smiled and kissed the top of my head softly.

- I know how bad to lose a father and a stepfather too... I don't want you to feel that pain if I can help... - he said then he sighed deeply - Now... Shall we go home?

- Yeah... - I nodded, but before we could go Mom stopped us.

- Thank you... For saving him... - she said, now calmly - And I'm sorry for shouting at you earlier, I just...

- It's okay - Edmond smiled - I can understand why were you so upset...

Then German and Pablo came up to us...

- I don't know what you did... But we can't be more thankful to you than now... - said Pablo, German nodded while he was keep looking at me.

And after a few more minutes of talk we went to go home.

- I'm so tired... - Edmond moaned as he layed his head back on the sofa at home.

- You did a great job today... - I said with a smile as I walked behind him and started massaging him.

- Oohh... This is so good... Please, don't stop... - he said as he smiled up at me - Making you happy is something I'm always ready to do...

- Thank you... - I whispered as I leaned closer and kissed him softly on the lips.
