Chapter 37 - Presents

Angie's POV:

I honestly had a lot of fun on this christmas party at the Morcerf mansion and luckily me and Fernand have never been left alone so I was saved thanks to Edmond, German and the others.

The party ended up and everyone was heading home, but once again I saw Priscilla saying goodbye to Debray... Like they're old friends... Or lovers... No! Not lovers!

- Have a good night, Angie - said German as we hugged.

- You too - I replied while returning the hug - And thank you for the dance as well!

- You're very welcome - he smiled - Anytime - he added with a wink which made me giggle, but we both grew quiet instantly when Priscilla appeared.

- I was glad to see you here as well, Angie - said Fernand as he came up to me and kissed my hand - I'd like to see you more often as well, you know...

- Uhm... I'll see - I muttered and a few minutes later we all headed home.

----- TIME SKIP -----

- Ah... Finally home! - I sighed as I collapsed on my bed.

- I agree - said Edmond and came to sit beside me, but then instead he leaned above me and kissed me softly - I have something for you... - he added then got off the bed, went out and a few minutes later he came back with a little box in his hand.

When he sat back down beside me and opened the box there was a beautiful, blue diamond ring in it.

- E-Edmond... - I stuttered as I looked up at him in shock, but he just smiled and kissed my forehead.

- Don't worry... I'm asking you to marry me... Atleast not yet - he said with a wink which made me giggle - But I still hope you like my present.

- It's beautiful... - I said, smiling - Thank you...

He slid the ring on my finger then I pulled him into me and kissed him passionately.

- I love you... - he whispered.

- I love you too... - I whispered back.

----- TIME SKIP -----

The next day Vilu called me over to sing together and of course... I agreed to go m, but I was a bit concerned about Priscilla. That she might starts being jealous again, but if I think about Vilu I can't care less about miss jealous.

As I arrived German opened the door for me and smiled when he saw me.

We were just standing there, staring into each other's eyes for long seconds...

- Uhm... Will you let me in, or...?

- Ah... Uhm... Yeah, come in - he said, embarrassed as he let me into the house - Anyway Priscilla is out today so don't worry...

- Uhm... Okay then. Vilu is at home? - I asked.

German suddenly went to his office and a few seconds later he came back with a box in his hand.

- I wanted to give this to you... - he said then he opened the box and there was a beautiful diamond heart necklace in it.

- German... You really didn't have to... - I muttered, blushing slightly.

I really wasn't expecting that he's gonna give me something...

- I know I didn't have to... But I wanted to - he said and smiled - Can I put it on for you?

- Yeah... Sure... - I muttered, still blushing.

He smiled, came behind me and put the necklace on. I could feel his breath on my neck and it made me kinda excited.

Then I felt a soft kiss on my neck which made me moan slightly. Wait... No! Don't let him seduce you again!

- You're too nice to me... - I whispered as I turned around to face him, but he just smiled and pulled me into a tight hug.

- You deserve the best... - he whispered back as we were hugging when suddenly we heard Vilu's voice from upstairs.

- Angie! You're here! - she screamed as she ran up to hug me which caused German to let go of me, but I still felt his eyes on me the whole time.

German's POV:

I'm glad Angie liked my present, but there is something that bothers me: that ring on her finger.

I remember perfectly that she didn't have that yesterday... It's probably from the count... But is it.... No, it can't be...

German, stop thinking! You have to be happy for her!

But what am I supposed to do if I'm not happy with that??
