A couple of hours have gone since the band Deep Dope and their manager made their departure to enjoy the festivities the grounds have to offer. To Midoriya, it's astonishing to see so many people out having a fantastic time, even if it's blazing hot out, it's not stopping anyone. He doesn't feel too out of place, and it's probably because Melissa and Louise have him join their conversation of whatever they're discussing. They went to get refreshments at one point, lemonade, and he's never tasted it so sweet before. Melissa claims lemonade shake-ups are popular during the summer, especially at festivals. However, throughout the amount of fun he's having, he hopes the others aren't getting into trouble, especially Bakugo.
"I think there's a band I want to check out," Louise says, "I believe the performance starts soon."
"Which band," Melissa blurted.
"The Bloody Massacre," Louise replies, "their vocalist is named Himiko Toga, I think."
"Wait, what," Midoriya asks, frightened.
"Yeah," Lousie responds, "her band has been around on the circuit for a while now. Glad I get to see them for the first time today, so let's find a good spot!"
The three of them walk over to the stage where The Bloody Massacre is supposed to start playing soon. Midoriya is still in a state of shock because what he can recall from back in high school, Toga was this psychotic girl who had a major crush on him for so long. He thought she would kill him if he dated someone else that wasn't her, and this was around the time he and Uraraka started going out, too. Both had to be careful not to mess with her nor piss her off, but thankfully, somewhere down the line, he was able to get a restraining order against her.
And now, once he thinks about it, that expired nine months ago.
They finally reach the stage the band's performing, and there's a massive crowd already there. The group comes out one by one, leaving to Toga, at the center of the stage. To Midoriya, she hasn't changed much besides a bit curvier figure, and her stage outfit is more of a school girl's outfit. But one thing standing out the most would be the fake bloody knife at the end of her microphone. The crowd cheers for her as she waves and says into the microphone, "how is Southern California doing today?!"
Everyone cheers as loud as they could, and Toga giggles into the microphone with an all-too-familiar laugh Midoriya knows too well. "Let's start with the first song, "Red Stars," everyone!"
A/N: Play song now.
"Here it comes," Louise yelled.
With the sound of the symbols ringing loud three times, and then the beat of the drum sounds off, the song immediately kicks into high gear, and everyone in the audience jams out as much as they can. Midoriya stands there and watches the group onstage perform, most of them headbanging to the instrumental, and he realizes the amount of confidence they all have as they play. Louise headbangs to this part of the song, and he laughs to himself because she's trying so hard despite how short her hair is. She stops doing so and hits him on the bicep for laughing, and the song soon mellows out when Toga starts singing.
'Best of cruel intentions.
Finding what they fail to mention.
No truth, all pretension.
Raise your hand to get attention.
'You give and, we take it.
You build it, we break it.
