The swarm of people adds on to the humidity of southwestern weather in the U.S. as fans crowd the place with their modest to an odd sense of fashion skills. It was packed, sold out in fact, for this festival is supposed to be one of the biggest ones this year not only for who performs, but what will happen here. Never before seen duets, many surprises in store, and various other things that'll leave people speechless.

Local rock radio stations are out at their booths reporting on what's going on so far for anyone unable to come out. On top of that, other major radio personnel from the famous hard rock and heavy metal news websites are out conducting interviews with the acts performing on the main stage for the two nights.

Within all of this craziness, the set for Jiro's band started at 8:30 AM this morning and currently halfway done with it as the time nears around 8:40 AM. Not wearing anything too extravagant, tank tops and shorts, because of the hot, sunny weather California in the summertime likes to provide everyone. They only get a 20-minute set because other performers set to play after them, and they all have to keep up with the crazy schedule. All bands set to play on the stage Deep Dope's currently performing on having to follow along with the program, and so do the current act performing. Groups following a schedule is crucial to playing at any festival.

Not only that, but making sure their equipment and their instruments are intact.

"Okay," Jiro says into the microphone, "let's start with the next song! I hope you guys enjoy this cover!"

A/N: Play song now.

Kaminari plays a few chords, mixing it with a soft, yet angelic high notes leaving Jiro's lips going on for a few measures. Both of them are intertwining their sound with each other before the band shifts it into high gear and starts playing the song. A few people were already there watching from earlier on when they started the show, but more people started gathering around after the third song. Everyone knows this song but not this rendition, making everyone wonder how that'll pan out for the entire song.

'I'm waking up to ash and dust.

I wipe my brow, and I sweat my rust.

I'm breathing in the chemicals.'

Jiro's stage presence radiates the most while performing the song, even if she's only holding her bass and standing behind the microphone for the whole set so far. It's becoming more common for bands' vocalists to play some instrument onstage. Furthermore, there weren't many people watching them, but that doesn't mean no one wasn't enjoying themselves either. Many people are singing along to the lyrics, no surprise because the original song went mainstream. Jiro smiles as she sings along, Yazoryouzo singing some of the backing vocals throughout the chorus. She's glad she took up some singing when the band became more of a thing right after their first gig at their school's festival. Even though they never expected such a positive response from some of the others, they're glad they made people happy with their music. That was their goal when their band became more of a full-time thing after high school, too.

'I raise my flags, down my clothes.

It's a revolution, I suppose.

We'll paint it red to fit right in, whoa.'

More people start gathering around, watching it all unfold because little did they know they had some of the acts performing on the main stage for the two nights attending their show now with curious eyes. They're incognito, hoping to draw barely any attention towards themselves and hoping it doesn't mess up any of the performers. Despite that, there's one face Jiro and the others know right off the bat even though she's wearing a pair of dark-washed denim shorts, a light yellow tank top, black flip-flops, sunglasses, and a baseball cap: Melissa. None of her fans are bothering her, though since they're all here for the same reason, she's here, too: to enjoy a live performance. She found herself singing along to the chorus with no care in the world alongside the others before her, content her friends made it this far, but she only hopes they don't let the upcoming fame ruin their lives behind the scenes.
