Greedy Decisions

Like a man keeping his word, Kaminari makes the wise decision to talk to Mineta about the details regarding what the two did back in high school. Due to the two's conflicting schedules, it's taking place a few weeks after the fated discussion between him and Bakugo. He hasn't seen his purple-haired classmate in a while, so it's hard to tell how he's doing since they last talked. Mineta decided on choosing the location on where to discuss: some quaint coffee shop a few blocks from where the purple-haired boy lives. Kaminari double-checked if the place was correct or not because this is Tokyo's upside, where everything looks much nicer than some areas anyone would find. His thoughts were diminished the second he sees an all too familiar head of curly, purple hair and a familiar face. He almost didn't believe it was him because of how much he's changed. Well, more of his height, if anything.

"Kaminari," Mineta motions his old friend towards his direction, "it's been a while."

Minoru Mineta: a (former class) pervert, a friend of Kaminari's, and possessed some decent grades back in high school.

Right out of the gate, it's easy to regard Mineta did grow to at least over 5 feet since high school ended. Sure, he wasn't the tallest then, but now he's not the shortest either. He has the same dorky haircut from high school, but a shorter length, a lovely charcoal grey jacket, a nice buttoned-up shirt, and dark jeans for his attire today. In contrast to Kaminari's look, a leather jacket he's had since high school, a white v-neck shirt, skinny black jeans, and a pair of black leather boots, there's a difference in each of their looks. At first glance, anyone could say they don't seem like they would get along, but there's more than meets the eye.

Kaminari takes a seat right across from Mineta; some awkward tension rises until a woman asks what they want to eat and drink. Mineta says, "the usual," and Kaminari gets the same thing he gets because he's clueless on what to order.

"There's one way to get the news to be quiet, and I found it to be a successful way of handling all of the issues at first hand," Mineta told Kaminari.

"I'm not gonna do something fucked up for your own personal good if that's what you're implying," Kaminari states. "All I wanted was to talk to you about the shit you pulled in high school and see if you apologized to any of the girls," Kaminari whispered the last part, leaning in to hope no one else listens to their conversation.

"They did. When I paid our classmates off with a decent amount of cash."

The news stuns Kaminari. He doesn't recall Mineta having some extravagant job to make him pay his rent for his apartment on the town's upside. However, he never knew what his classmate's been doing since high school because he's been quiet about it all. He never expressed his personal life with anyone or his work life; it was mainly about how hot the girls were or something else licentious. "How did you pay them off," Kaminari asked, desperate for the truth at this point.

"I never told anyone about this," Mineta begins, "but I picked up a... job you could say, of taking photographs of people by the appeal of someone who wants to know if their loved one is having an affair with someone else, and usually it's someone with loads of cash."

"So, a private investigator? Bet you see lots of action that fulfill your dirty needs," Kaminari joked.

"More or less, but I have a side hustle of taking pictures of people of a... higher power," Mineta smirks. Worry creeps into Kaminari's stomach, almost knowing where this whole thing is going. "Exclusive, one-of-a-kind, personal photos. The higher up of a person, the higher the cash amount I get from gossiping sites and many people's perverted minds. Money is money, no matter whose wallet it comes from."

"Go on," Kaminari interrogated.

"If needed, half of it goes to all the girls I've harassed as a way for them to keep quiet, or they come to me to do some creeping on a colleague or partner. They beg until they say they won't say a word about the things I've said in the past about them, then I agree to take the photos. Explains why none of the girls from high school are gonna say something in the future, especially about you if we're honest right now."
