Chapter 8

"I'll let you sleep now your highness." I smiled at her. I think it's still in the afternoon but she's already sleepy so I left her alone in her room. She must be tired because of what happened earlier. The Prince already left the kingdom but he left us with his words.

I am so proud of the princess that she handle that kind of situation so well. After sliding the door, I was shock to see a woman wearing an armored suit. She was also shock to see me.

"I-Is the princess inside?" she asked me. She looks manly too just like the general. And with that thought, I suddenly remembered what the princess told me.

"Are you in love with someone else, then?" I asked her

She nodded her head. My eyes widened from her answer. "It's the General's second hand. She is very strong too." She? Then she is in love with a woman?

"Y-Yes she is." I answered her "But she is sleeping."

"Really.." she sighed. "I'll come back later then. See you," she quickly left me. I wonder what she's up to.

I walked towards our room and see Jeongyeon packing her things. I immediately walked towards her. "What are you doing?" I asked her and sits down beside her

"I am already assigned in the village, did the princess told you?" She said while still packing her things

"You've been promoted... that's what she told me."

"Yes. Isn't that amazing?" she looks at me while smiling but her smiles fade away when she saw me not smiling at all. "Why? Is there any problem?" she asked

"It's not that I am not happy. But I don't know how can I finish my task here without you." I told her "I don't want to be alone, can I come with you?" I asked her and hold her hand.

She smiled and sits down with me. She looks at my eyes straightly. "This is what happened in the story Jennie." she said, "We still can't undo something if you haven't change anything." she whispered

"But.. I already introduced Mina to the General.. maybe if she falls in love with Mina.. The story will change. The general will live and be with Mina." I told her.

"The story haven't change, so that means the general is not yet in love with someone. Or you still haven't doing anything to change the past. But if that is your plan, then I must trust you." she smiled, "But Jennie... stopping the killer to kill the General is not only your goal here.. but to save the Kingdom too."

"How can I do that without you?"

"You can do it without me. You're smart Jen, if you use your mind and your instinct.. you can do it. Find out who is the killer before the killer finds you." she cupped my cheeks before hugging me.

"Jeongyeon, your horse already arrived." Jeongyeon unwrapped her hug when we heard Dahyun's voice.

"I'm coming." she said and carried her bag. I was left inside the room broken and scared. I can't do this alone. I will stuck here forever if I don't use my mind. If I don't have a strategy, then I'll fail.

How can I know who is the killer among the Princes? How will I know their motives? I will only get close to them IF I talk to them personally. Since Prince Aries is not here anymore, maybe he is not the killer. He already accepted his defeat in the challenge.

"Are you hungry Eric? I brought you so many food."

I peeked through the window when I heard a familiar voice. I saw Prince Jimin feeding his horse. He looks happy when he is doing it.
