Chapter 10

The carriage that I am riding suddenly stopped. I slowly peeked outside through the window and saw how dark the atmosphere is.

"Everyone! Carry all the bodies that you will found! Prince Aries must be one of these people." I heard the General commanded. I felt that the one who is riding my carriage goes down on his horse and helped the others to look too. I saw how the Kingdom was destroyed.

The palace has still a fire on it. It means this happened a while ago. I saw how many people laying down on the ground. They all got bruises and they are all dark because of the fire. Their faces looked shocked and scared. Some of them were innocents and some of them were villagers and not a warrior.

"General, there's no any signs of Prince Aries in here. We still can't look inside of the kingdom because of the fire." I heard someone said. And I think that voice came from Manoban.

"If the fire is still there.. it means this is just happened now." The general said

"But General, the bodies laying down in here were already cold. I think they died yesterday..."

Yesterday?

"How is that possible?" The general asked. "You told me that someone just attacked them a few hours ago."

"Some villagers from our Kingdom saw how dark the smoke is from their view. That's why they told us that they think that someone was attacking Gemini's kingdom."

"The dead bodies here in this kingdom were all dead yesterday. But the fire just starts a while ago. What do you think happened?"

"There's a possibility that they were attacked yesterday and they just started the fire now to bluff us."

"But there's a possibility that what happened right now is just for a show."

A show? Does it mean what happened in this kingdom was fake?

"Turn off that goddamn fire and look for anyone's body inside. We will find any clue of what happened in here."

"Yes your highness." I heard Manoban's last words before I could hear her footsteps walk away. I sit down properly and stopped peeking through the window before anyone could see me in here.

When I rest my head, the door of the carriage suddenly unlocked and someone starts opening it. My hands were shaking because of nervousness, I can't even breathe nicely. When the door opened I saw Manoban. Her eyes widened when she saw me.

"What are you—"

I grabbed her collar and so she could hide with me inside. I closed the door and cover her mouth. "Shhh.." I told her. She removed my hand on her mouth and whispered.

"What are you doing here? You're not supposed to be here.." she said

"I just want to know what happened here." I lied

"For what?"

"It doesn't matter right now... Just don't tell anyone. Please.." I plead.

"How can I trust you? You must be the one who burned this kingdom." she accused me

"How can I burned this Kingdom? I am with the General a while ago, you even saw me." She looked away.

"I'll find out soon." She said and tried to go away but I pulled her again

"I know you're relationship with the princess. Do you want me to tell anyone about it?" I asked her. She looked at me surprised. "If we work together, it will be easier. No secrets will be told." I smiled at her
