Chapter 25

"Did you enjoyed last night?"

"Yes your highness," I answered the Queen when I finally put down the tray full of foods for her breakfast.

"I'm happy you liked it," she smiled sweetly. "Can you stay here for a while?" she asked, I simply nodded and stood up beside her while she was peacefully eating her breakfast.

"You know, I really feel guilty that you and Jisoo got into a fight because of what's happening," she looked down, she really looks guilty because of what she's acting right now. "I'm sorry that I made you felt that way Jennie. But I am telling you, nothing happened between of the two of us."

But Mina saw them kissing? Is she lying? "You don't have to explain your highness. I must accept this kind of actions and decisions." I assured her and smiled

"You're right.. But you still have to know that it was all just for a show. Nothing really happened, trust me.." She looked at me in the eyes, I saw her being so honest based on her words and her actions.

"I trust you your highness," I smiled

She let out a relief sigh and took the tiny top that she is sewing from these past few days. "What do you think?" She asked.

"I-It's tiny your highness," I nervously chuckled

She laughed about my answer, "Yes it is. Because, it's for my baby." She whispered.

My eyes widened when I heard her confession, "Y-You're pregnant?" I whispered too. She nodded her head, I covered my mouth because I was so surprised. "Oh my. Manoban.." she nodded her head again when she heard Manoban.

"You see, I also felt guilty because I haven't told you this one because I thought you're the one who's been cooking my breakfast all along," she said. I looked away because I feel so ashamed that I can't do my job properly. "And when I saw Mina cooking my lunch, I talked to her. And told her first about my situation." she said. "She has to know because she is the one who's cooking my food. She always cook my favorite soup. I guess, you noticed that my soup has a different color, right?"

So that's why the soup Mina gave to me a few days ago was different.

"That soup shouldn't be used by a spoon or else someone will know that it was for a pregnant woman," she continued

"But, you were looking for a spoon..that day right?" I asked her

"I was just pretending.." She chuckled. "I really thought you know how to suspect someone if she's pregnant," she shrugged. Of course I didn't know that, in my year, the only thing that can help you to know if you're pregnant is pregnancy test.

"Does Manoban know about this?" I asked

She shook her head. "I want to surprise her when everything is okay already.. maybe after the war.. hopefully." She smiled "I also kept your secret from Mina," she suddenly said. I looked at her curiously "I know Mina kinda hates me because of Jisoo, because I can sense that she likes Jisoo. So I didn't tell her about you and Jisoo since Mina is also your friend, right?" she asked. I nodded my head.

"Thank you your highness." I bowed. I can really feel that I am the bad guy here since I didn't do anything but ruin Jisoo and the Queen's relationship, and now, my friendship to Mina because I ruined her chance to Jisoo too. I am such a bad friend here.

"I really think that you should talk to Jisoo right now," she said as she eats her breakfast. "Jisoo can't get you out of her head since the day you and Manoban..." she paused and sighed trying not to say the word 'slapped' "Both of us were worried about you and Manoban. And we can't understand why did Chin Hwa do that." She said as if she is thinking something.
