Prince Jimin and I stopped walking when we reached the small bridge near the fish pond here at the Kingdom. He sighed and leaned his back on the side of the bridge. I looked at him curiously, what does he want now?"I really felt guilty you know?" He started and looks at me in the eye. "Those servants are really noisy and has an attitude. Is that because I defended you when they shouted at you?" he asked me.
"They just misunderstood what happened your highness." I answered him
"People shouldn't misunderstood if you did something good." he said.
"Don't get me wrong your highness, but why am I here with you?"
I just don't understand. He wants me to be his friend? He feels guilty that's why he is here with me?
"I just want to make sure you're not hurt. And besides this must be my last breathe." He said, I was shock from his statement, it gave me chills. It's like he is already saying his farewell.
"W-What do you mean your highness?" I asked him. He looks away. I can see that he is scared right now.
"Everything happens for a reason. Maybe I'll die today because of something I wish I didn't heard." Heard? He heard something? "Someone will kill the princess and the General. I heard him."
It must be the one that I am looking for!
"Who is it?" I asked him directly.
"If I tell you, you're dead. But... I have this to request before I die.." he smiled "Tell my Kingdom that they will be in safe hands once the General find out who will be the killer. Tell my father that I will be alright. And most importantly, tell Jeongyeon that I love her."
My eyes widened when I heard what he have said. Jeongyeon?? "Y-You mean.."
"You don't know much anything about Jeongyeon," he smiled "Can you do my favor before I die?" he asked. I wanted to cry, is this what really happened in the past?
My eyes became watery when I stared in his face. He might be suspicious to me when I first encountered him, but I didn't expect that he will die and he won't even tell me who will kill him. He knows something.
"Are you crying?" he chuckled. I didn't felt that my tears fell from my eyes already. I quickly wiped it, I shouldn't be crying. "Don't cry. You have to be strong here.." he said, "There's so many things you will encountered here and you will just think of the idea of giving up, but later on you will realized everything is worth the risk. So I risked my life to know who suspects the Kingdom, and I am right all this time. He is a traitor." he said
"Why won't you just tell me?" I asked him
"You are Jeongyeon's cousin. And if she trusts you, I will trust you too," he smiled "And besides, I am happy that in the first time of my life someone didn't disagree with me that I can be their friend." I can't hold back my tears anymore. He defended me and he told me I can be his friend because Jeongyeon is not here and the servants might hurt me again.
"How about the General? Isn't he your friend?" I asked him
He shakes his head. "She doesn't like me for her sister and her reason is because I will just hurt her sister." he sighed "Well, he's right. The prince can marry more than one woman if she doesn't gave birth to a boy. Jeongyeon didn't marry me when I asked her. And until now, I don't know what is the reason."
