Twenty-Five

~Beam~

There I stood dumbfounded, I was not expecting N'Sharp to be here. I felt a little thump in my chest, almost I've done something I had no business doing. Damn, how I'm I going to explain this to Forth?
" Phi, we have to get going, you need to be in the hospital in 20 minutes "-N'Sharp. I snapped out of my daze phase and followed him. I was still in disbelief as to whom I was sitting next to in the car.
" You must be really shocked to see me here, I guess you didn't read none of my text.." he said with that infectious grin of his. " I -I changed my number... why are you here Nong?" I asked trying to make sense of this nightmare.

" Hahaha, what do you mean? This is my hometown, this is where I live" he replied. So the rumors about him transferring to a new school is true. I looked around, as I realized I was not in the city anymore. The streets are less busy, and we were at the hospital in no time. I was dropped off at the main entrance, " You seem to have a lot of questions. Don't worry 😉 we can talk over dinner"-N'Sharp he said and drove off. I knew he was my preceptor's nephew, what is this about dinner.

I slumberly walked into the hospital and signed at the front desk. There I met two other med students who were also there for the shadowing. " Hi my name is Eamon, and this is my boyfriend Ram" -Eamon guy sticked out his hand to greet me. His boyfriend seem a bit shy, he just wai instead. They were both there for cardiology. We chat about school and some of our hubbies. I asked them how long have they been a couple? To which Eamon said, " well it sort of happened by accident 😂". Wait, what does that mean?

" Well, Ram here was set up for a blind date by his friend,but when he arrived at the bar he approached me. Apparently, I fit the description of the guy he was supposedly meet. I just thought he was a cute kid at the gay club, trying to get to know me" -Eamon said with a grin as he told the story of how we met. " ...So, the friend texted asking why he had yet to meet his date. That was when he asked me my name Hahahaha. By then, he had hit it off already and I refused to have him talk anyone else"-Eamon.

That's an interesting story indeed, Ram with his pale skin and big eyes screamed twink. But I would have not, in a million years thought Eamon was gay. He has that bad boy look that girls like. His demeanor and mannerisms reminds me of Forth. Ahhh, Forth... I need to call him about my current situation. Then my preceptor showed up, wow 😳 the people in N'Sharps family must be really good looking. Because before he could even be seen, we could here and see all the nurses gushing and fanning out. " Hello, Dr. Baramee... My name is Type, I'll be your preceptor for the next two weeks. Are you ready for a tour?" He asked.

I waived at my new friends, as they met up with their preceptors. I was given a tour of the hospital and also a badge with my name on it. Since I'm only a student, I'll be shadowing him between the hours of 8 to 4pm only. Since he is still in residency, he is normally on call. " So Sharp said you two are friends? You wouldn't mind being his roommate during your stay then?😊" he said with a smile, this wasn't the time to be fussy. So I replied with, " we are acquainted". He smiled then said, " between you and I, I think he has a thing for you. He told my sister that you'll be here. And they already arranged a dinner in your honor tonight. Sadly, I won't be there, but I hope you enjoy yourself" P'Type.

~Forth~

This is the fifth time I've checked my phone. Beam sent a text when he arrived and stated he was waiting his ride to the hospital. That was the last time I heard from him. I'm aware N'Sharp's uncle was his preceptor, but I can't intervene in his education because I'm jealous. Arghh, I need to occupy my mind, as I wait. Hell it is only 6 hours and I've missed him like crazy. Suddenly, felt a pillow thrown at me. "Make yourself useful, make me dinner at least"-P'Mew said while rummaging through some paper work. I am staying with him, for the break. I'll be joining him and P'Earth starting Monday.

" Have you heard from Beam?" He asked, to which I shocked my head no. I went over to the fridge to get ingredients for dinner. " Do you believe, if the chance presents itself. Beam would cheat on you?" P'Mew asked, still with his eyes glued to his laptop and papers. I froze in my spot the moment those words left his mouth. When I didn't reply, he looked up to check on me. " Why? What makes you think that Phi" I asked. He sat up, looking at me sideways. " it was just a question, but based on your response it appears you believe it too"-P'Mew.

I'll be lying if I say the thought have not cross my mind. Especially now that, Beam most likely with encounter N'Sharp. I knew what awaits Beam, the moment he board that plane ✈️. I knew N'Sharp will see this as an opportunity, and only a fool would not. I took a deep breath, grabbed the cooking utensils and proceeded to prep for my meal. " I can't control Beams action, but I chose to trust Beam. If he values me, as much as I do him. Then, I doubt he would allow himself to stray from what we have" I said forcing a smile. P'Mew just looked at me without a word and went back to his work.

~Sharp~

" Mother! You've cooked enough to feed a party of 50!!" I said when I walked into the buffet style setting in our dining area. " Well, this is the first time you've brought a friend home. I just want him to feel welcome😊"-Mother said as he told the maid what to get. " P'Sharp!!!! Are you home for spring break?"- Mai my youngest sister asked rushing into my embrace. " Even better, I transferred university. Now I can see you on the weekends!!" I said tossing her in the air. " I honestly do t know why, you can't commute from home. You'll be only 20 minutes drive from home"-Mother.

" No, I still want the University experience. I have to go pick up P'Beam from the hospital. See you in 10 minutes... Oh, please try to act normal. Especially Dad okay!!" I pleaded with my mom. " Hey!!! I'm the normal one in this family. We won't embarrass you if that's what you are insinuating"-Mother. I sighed, because I can sense her doing it already!!!

When I arrived at the hospital, P'Beam was waiting with P'Type. I stood by my car watching how handsome he looked in his white coat. I need to win him over this time. I came on too strong the first time, but I want to do it right his time around. " Hey Sharp!!! Mom said she gave you my good!!" P'Type upon spotting me. They walked over and I couldn't help but blush when P'Beam was up close. " Sharp!!! He is is my student. Behave yourself!!" P'Type said noticing how I was gawking at P'Beam. " Ummm, we should get going, they are waiting on us" I said to P'Beam. " Enjoy your weekend N'Beam, I'll be home on Sunday . Bye guys!!"-P'Type.
