Britt's POV

I has been at least four days since I last saw Alex. He hasn't been in school since the day we were paired together for the project work. And since then the teachers have been piling works on us claiming they wanted to see how best we can work under pressure and how much of the work could I do on my own.... Skyla was also busy with her work most of the time so she couldn't help me.God!! I'm so tired.

At the moment we have a pop quiz in Geography but I can't seem to focus.  What if something happened to Alex... since the last time I saw him he was bleeding . Britt stop thinking about him.. he's probably fine...

Alex'  POV

I haven't been in school for four days. I'm part of this gang known as the Latino Blood. My dad was part of them before he died when I was 10 years old.

*Flashback*

I heard gunshots... I was so scared, my dad told me to stay in the car to be safe. I watched as he spoke to a guy that was standing in front of a gang and then I heard them firing shots... Just then I saw my father get shot before my eyes. Daaaaddd!!!! I screamed as I saw him fall down . I got out of the car and ran to him as he laid in a pool of blood with tears streaming down my face. I was terrified. " Dadd... please don't leave me.  You're all I have left" I said to him while sobbing "Alex I need you to stay strong,  for me, for your brother... men don't cry. I need you...to.. to fight for a better life for you and your brother" he said while trying to still breath... until he started chocking on his blood and died.

**End of flashback**

That was the last time I ever cried. It was there and then that I swore to myself that I would protect my brother woth all that I had. We were living with my grandmother. I was working for the Latino Blood. I needed to know who killed my dad but I could only do that from the inside. Recently the shipment that came in was huge... it was for some big shot guys.

I was still lying in bed.... I was so tired to get out of bed. " Alehandro!! Don't lemme come drag your ass out of bed this morning. " I heard Nana shouting.  " I'm up, I'm up " I shouted back... I quickly got out of bed and had a quick shower. I put on some faded jeans and a tank top and headed downstairs.  We had waffles for breakfast. " I'm heading out Abuelita," I told and grabbed my jacket on my way out. " Adiós mi amor, be safe" she said.

I headed to the park tomeet the guys.. even though I was Latino I really didn't look like them. As I got there they spotted me" heyyy.... my man watup?" Zack said and we shaked hands and he slapped me on the back. Zack and Julio were also in the Latino Blood.  We all needed a way to survive in this part of town ... we were at the south sides which was ruled by The Gangs. So either you were part of them or you were on their bad side. We all had the LB tattoos on our backs.

" Yo bro so watup for today... oh and I realised you got paired with that hot cheerleader chick for them stupid projects in school... You gonna bang her?" Juan asked. Julio hit him hard on his back." Damn dude , what shitty ass question is that? Of course Aleh's going to bang her...Damn! she's hot." He said . " Shut up guys... I'm not banging her... she ain't my type." I spat out . " She ain't your type or you ain't her type? " Zack asked . " I bet you can't even get her to sleep with you" Juan said and the guys laughed.

"You wanna bet... fine.. gimme to the end of the two weeks project, I'm gonna bang the shit out of the bitch " I said sounding so convincing. " Now that's, my man"Julio said ... we continued talking and my mind drifted to Britt. She must be pissed off that I'm not helping with the project. I decided to forget about her and have some shots with the guys instead and we toasted to the successful job we did yesterday.  We delivered at least 30 kilos of coke(cocaine) last night without getting caught.

Britt's POV

Later that evening I had taken a shower and slipped on some sweatpants and a light tank top and sat in bed with a tub of Ben&Jerry's ice cream watching a movie when my phone started ringing. I didn't know the number but I picked anyway.

" Hey" I heard a male voice that sounded familiar.

" Umm... Who is this please?" I said sounding a little confused.

" Alex" he said

" Wow... look who finally decides to appear after disappearing for four days now. And how do you have my number... I never gave you my number"  I said.

"I have my ways... sorry about missing school ... I've been busy. Butt... I can make it up to you... since there's no school tomorrow how about I come over so we can make work on the project the whole day?" He said to me... I really loved his voice. He sounded so sexy over the phone. Snap out of it Britt...

" Umm... okay, sure . see you tomorrow then at let's say... 12 noon?" I said

" See you then,  bye" he said and ended the  call...

For some weird reason I'm actually looking forward to seeing him tomorrow... I went back to watching my movie to get my mind of Alex... for God's sake Britt you have Austin ... forget about that guy.. he's not even your type..eventually I fell asleep while watching the movie.
