Sam was droning on about the recent killings. Who died where and how. But, Dean didn't care. He was focused on the road, paying no attention to his brother's ramblings and theories.
"Damn it, Dean, would you please tell me what the hell's going on? You've never spaced out as much as you have been these past few days."
"Nothing. I'm fine, Sammy."
Sam scoffed, "yeah, right."
Dean sighed. "Where's this lady live again? Or... lived?"
"Down town Chicago. We're about thirty miles out."
"Great." Dean focused on the road again as he navigated the traffic.
Mary Harrison... where have I seen that name before?
Sam was on his computer, checking the reports from local newspapers. "Dean, hold up."
Dean raised an eyebrow inquisitivley and glanced at his brother, "what?"
"There was another one."
Dean jerked the wheel of the impala, parking on the side of the road. "What do you mean, 'there was another one'?"
Sam ran a hand through his hair, "There's a report from another Chicago news paper saying a former social services worker slit his throat-"
"-In his bathtub?"
"Right."
"Damn," Dean put his head in his hands, "This thing's moving fast."
"Yeah. Shifters aren't usually this agressive."
Dean put the car in drive and pulled back onto the highway. "I get the feeling this thing isn't a shapeshifter."

(Earlier)
Mr. Galdwin was sitting on his couch when there was a knock on the door. He stood up, and walked toward the door of his appartment, wondering who on earth it could be.
He opened the door and gasped at the sight in front of him. There was a woman standing there with a black ski mask on, holding a gun to his head.
"Hello, Jeremy Galdwin. Step back and let me in your appartment or I'll shoot you."
Shaking, the aged man stepped back, fumbling over a few shoes on the floor.
"I bet you don't know who I am, do you?"
"N-no. Please, please don't hurt me, I-i have money, I'll give you whatever I have-"
"I don't want your frickin money! I want something much more valuable." Mr. Galdwin backed up more, terrified. "I want your life." Jeremy turned white."Walk into your bathroom. Now."
He walked through the living room into his bathroom, hands up, shaking the entire time.
"Get in the tub."
He slid into the tub, tears now falling from his eyes.
The masked person paused, lowering the gun. "Do you know who I am?" He shook his head. The murder took off the mask and looked into Mr. Galdwin's eyes. "A long time ago, you were on a case in Wisconsin before you retired. It was the last case you worked before you retired. Do you remember it at all?"
He nodded, "A girl's family got killed when the dad went crazy one night. She was...," he paused as relization hit his face. "Oh my-"
The murder launched forward, slitting his throat. "That's right, Galdwin." She walked into the main living room and toward the door, "I'm your living nightmare."
She walked down the hallway, sheathing the small knife in her knee high black boots. Only pausing when she heard a woman's earsplitting scream, noting that her kill had been discovered. She put the hood of her sweatshirt over her head and walked down the hall, exited the appartment building, and disappeared into the darkness of the alleyways behind the building.
