15. Jungkook: We Are Family

Taehyung's POV

We are taking the TXT boys out today just the 12 of us to hang out and we all couldn't be more excited. I am not really sure what the full agenda is for today, but I know that we will try and get something that everyone enjoys in. We are planning a picnic for lunch and all 12 of us are currently lounging around our dorm while Jin, Yeonjun, and Yoongi are getting our lunch made and packed for the picnic. I am playing video games with Jungkook and Taehyun, Namjoon is on the couch looking up from his book every once and a while to see our game. Jimin and Hoseok are with Kai, Beomgyu, and Soobin teaching them how to play poker.

"Are you guys ready to go?" Jin asks as him and the other two coming from the kitchen.

"Yeah we agreed to do something for everyone today so whose activity are we starting with." Jungkook asks.

"We are actually killing four birds with one stone at the beach, Namjoon crab hunting, Taehyung building sand castles, Jin fishing and Kai swimming." Yoongi explain and we all nodded to show we understand. I pulled Kai towards the door and saw the others doing some type of excited dance towards the door, even Yoongi. The ride to the beach was noisy as we somehow found a vehicle big enough for all 12 of us. The beach was vacant when we got there, which is a little unusual, but we didn't mind.

"Kids get over here so we can put sunscreen on you." Hoseok yelled to Jimin and the TXT boys as they all run towards the water. Jimin keeps trying to dodge Hoseok but the TXT boys complied right away.

"Jimin get back here now!" Yoongi yelled causing Jimin to quickly turn and run over to Hoseok and let him rub the sunscreen into his puffy cheek groans and whining the whole time. I saw Namjoon start walking up and down the shore line with Soobin and Beomgyu hot on his heels, interested in seeing him catch some crabs.

"Yeonjun, do you want to come build sand castles with me and Hoseok?" I asked and he nodded and I watched as Kai, Taehyun, Jimin and Jungkook all ran to the water and started splashing each other. I turned and saw Yoongi and Jin setting up their fishing pole and we were all content with our activities.

Yoongi's POV

I am slightly worried about us splitting up like we have done, because there are 12 of us but we do have younger people here and we need to keep everyone safe and being the second oldest in the entire group is a little intimidating and I can't imagine how Jin feels. I know we are all adults but they are all like little brothers, so how am I not supposed to feel overprotective.

"Hyung, aren't you a little worried about the fact that we split up?" I ask and Jin sighs.

"No Yoongs, I can see everyone from the dock." He explains while pointing. I nod noticing he was right and that all of the TXT members were with at least one BTS member. I continue to fish knowing today is supposed to be a fun and relaxing day, so why am I working myself up? We fish for about a half hour before I see the four swimming boys head to the beach retreating from the water and after hearing Kai's adorable dolphin screams everytime he was splashed I knew they were getting tired. I see Jungkook grab a soccer ball from his bag and the four start kicking it around and again I get that overprotective feeling again.

"Hyung, do you know if Jungkook packed his inhaler just in case?" I ask knowing that Jungkook hasn't had an attack in years but he does still have asthma.

"Yoongs, quit worrying Jungkook will be fine, I am sure he has it just in case but he isnt going to need it, when was the last time he had an attack?" He asks turning back to his fishing.
"I guess you're right hyung, I just don't know why I am so overprotective." I tell him sighing and he just smiles.
"Welcome to my world." Jin tells me and we fish some more and I know everyone is going to be hungry soon. I see that Namjoon must have caught some crabs because Beomgyu and Soobin are huddled next to him with huge smiles on their faces, and Yeonjun is having fun with the sand castles. I see that the other four are playing two on two soccer and it's Jimin and Kai and Jungkook and Taehyun as the teams, they are pouring sweat but smiling and laughing and I feel content. I turned away for what seems like a second before I hear the panicked scream and all my fears suddenly become reality.

Kai's POV

I am having so much fun playing soccer on Jimin hyung's team and being up against Jungkook hyung is so tough, he is a good player. I smile at Taehyun and he looks concerned as to what my next move might be, I kick the ball and weave past Taehyun and try to get around Jungkook hyung. I make it around him as he turns and runs after me at full speed and I am almost ot the designated goal when I hear Taehyun hyung behind me yelling. I turn around to see Jungkook hyung collapsed on the ground gasping for air and I have no idea what is going on, I start to panic. I feel like I am trapped in my own head I can hear everything going on around me but seeing it isnt really a thing and I am not moving, its like being trapped in a tunnel and seeing the exit but it moves further away everytime you run towards it. I feel someone shaking me, and hear my name.

"Kai, Kai, come on respond please." I snap back and realize it is Hoseok hyung and that everyone else but Jimin hyung is crowded around Jungkook hyung. Jimin is dumping all the bags out onto the towel laid on the sand like he is looking for something. I am about to ask what they were looking for but didnt get a chance to speak.
"Someone call and ambulance, he is having an asthma attack and doesnt have his inhaler!" Yoongi hyung calls in a very panicked voice. I start to panic more and Hoseok hyung is trying to keep me calm. I have so many things going through my mind again but again am cut off by the sound of sirens and see the ambulance, I am obviously not aware of time passing right now because this all feels so fast.

"Kai, come on honey we are going to meet Jungkook at the hospital." Hoseok hyung says to me grabbing my hand and walking me like a child, usually I would have fought and been embarrassed but right now it was comforting. We all pile into the car and with Jin hyung and Jungkook hyung missing and no one saying anything and Yoongi hyung crying into Jimin hyung's shoulder I can't help but feel scared. I think about that longer before falling asleep on Hoseok hyung's shoulder and when I finally wake up I am laying on a little couch in the corner of a hospital room and see everyone else crowded around the bed. No one has noticed I am awake until I see Yoongi hyung walk back into the room, he notices me and sits down next to me.

"How are you doing honey, I know today was a bit of a scare and none of us had the heart to wake you up when we got here, we knew you were overstressed by the situation?" Yoongi hyung asks and I just shrug.

"Is Jungkook hyung going to be alright?" I ask hearing the wavering in my own voice.

"He will be okay, he has gotten the medicine he needs and now just needs to rest but he will be okay." Yoongi hyung explains and I just nod so he knows I am listening. Finally I notice everyone looking over at me and I walk towards the group with Yoongi hyung and see that Jungkook hyung is laying on the bed just smiling.

"I am so glad we are all here, I wouldn't change this for anything." Jungkook hyung says, I hear the roughness in his voice and see him smile. Everyone else is smiling and joking around when Beomgyu hyung and Hoseok Hyung suddenly yell."We are family!" Causing us all to laugh and I know that we are all safe once again all 12 of us.
