25. Taehyung: Fun in the Sun

Hoseok's POV

We are going on a picnic today the seven of us and they are saying it's supposed to be hot and to be careful of the sun. So as the sunscreen king, I make sure that all of us put some on before we left and as soon as we arrived at the park and I brought tons with us so that we could reapply throughout the day. Jin has made a delicious meal for our picnic and then we are going to play games like frisbee and probably tag, I know we are adults but we like to have fun too. We have just finished eating our lunch and our first game is, freeze dance. It is a game that is exactly like what it sounds like, someone...Yoongi, is in charge of the music, which we dance to and when he pauses it we all have to freeze and if anyone moves they are out. Yoongi started by playing Anapanman and we all started doing the dance, when he paused it our first member out was Jin. JIn went and sat next to Yoongi and helped him pick the next song, Blood, Sweat, and Tears. Taehyung got out and before they started the next song I remind the boys that when they get out to reapply sunscreen. Taehyung helped pick the next song, Go Go and we dance and I was super, happy and waiting for it to be paused, when suddenly it was and Jungkook got out meaning he picked the next song, Idol. We were dancing and we have just jumped in the air and we landed and the music stops, causing the three of us to halt our movement and Namjoon to fall.

"Are you alright Namjoon?" I ask and he nods before getting up and going to choose a song and the last one will decide who wins, me or Jimin. The song that starts playing is DNA, and we dance and it gets paused suddenly and I stumble, meaning Jimin is the winner. I walk over and start to reapply my sunscreen and of course as i everytime we have to wear sunscreen, Jimin runs away so I can't put it on him. I finally catch him and rub it into his super sensitive skin and I turn to the other.
"Did everyone reapply their sunscreen?" I asked before we started frisbee. Everyone groaned but nodded and I smiled to myself.

Yoongi's POV

We are about to start frisbee and Hoseok asks if we all reapplied our sunscreen and we all say yes which isn't true. Taehyung hasn't put sunscreen on since Hoseok put it on him when we got here.

"Tae, why didn't you put more sunscreen on?" I asked him and he shrugs.
"I don't need to, Hobi kind of over does it with the sunscreen." He says and I nod knowing he is right but I also don't want him to think it's okay to disrespect Hoseok.

"I know, but he means well and he would feel really bad if one of us had to feel the pain of a sunburn." I say to Taehyung and He nods.

"I know Yoongi hyung, I promise to put more on, but I am going to skip a few of the times just so that we don't waste it." He tells me and I sigh, knowing there is no way of talking him out of his plan.

"Let's play frisbee." Jungkook shouts and we all laugh and get ready to play. After about an hour of playing frisbee, we decide to play a different game. We are going to play freeze tag and before we start Hoseok reminds us to apply sunscreen again and he yet again has to force it on Jimin's skin and Taehyung grabs a bottle and starts walking away.

"Where are you headed Tae?" I call to him and he sighs.

"I have to use the bathroom, so I figured I would apply more sunscreen while I was gone." He replies and I nod and start to put more of the substance on my skin. Just as we are about to start Taehyung comes running back from the bathroom area and throws the sunscreen bottle towards our bags.

"Are we all ready to play?" He yells getting into a spot. We all nod and get ready to decide who is our tagger. Jimin ends up being our tagger and we all run. I feel like I am going to get past Jimin, when he tackles me to the ground.

"Jimin, why did you tackle me?" I whined and pouted as I sat up on the grass pulling my knees to my chest. I know it was really childish of me but I know that Jimin will come and coddle me. I was right less than 30 seconds later, Jimin comes running up and pulls me into his arms and apologizes . I smile and lean into him happy I now had comfort and could lay back. The others get ready for another round, and I just groan.

"Me and Yoongi hyung are going to move into the shade and relax a little." Jimin tells us.

"Before we play anymore, let's reapply our sunscreen." Hoseok says walking towards our bags and I grab a hold of Jimin before he can run off.

Taehyung's POV

I am not saying that Hoseok is wrong, but it is annoying that he is so meticulous with sunscreen applications. So I hid myself by helping Yoongi to rub it in Jimin's skin and when I was asked if I applied more I nodded and we started a new round of freeze tag. Jungkook is the tagger this time and we have established some rules about tackling. We played freeze tag for about an hour and we decide we are all tired so we start heading back towards the dorm. As I sit in the back seat, I notice my arms and legs start to feel like they are on fire. About five minutes later my face starts to feel the same and I start whimpering, unintentionally. When we finally reach the dorm I get out and head straight in, knowing I am sunburnt and I wanted to cover up so no one sees. I pull sweatpants and a sweatshirt on even though it flares up the pain in my skin. I walk downstairs to see everyone lounging around and I go to sit down but the movement makes my sweat pants rub against my legs. I gasp at the pain and didn't realize until I reopened my eyes that I had everyone staring and me and that I had even closed my eyes.

"Taehyung, it is so warm, why are you wearing those clothes?" Namjoon asks and I stupidly shrug my shoulder causing me to groan.

"Why are you acting like you are in pain?" Jin asks the concern evident in his voice.

"I am okay I promise." I tell them sitting down, next to Jungkook, he looks at me and then looks confused.

"Tae hyung, can you do me a favor?" He asks and I nod. "Can you take your sweatshirt off for me?" I reluctantly nod and pull it over my head. I sit back and close my eyes. I hear the gasps as everyone sees my arms.

"Tae, is this what your legs look like too?" Yoongi asks and I nod and then I put my face into the light and they see my face is similar but not as bad.

"Tae, we were so careful how did you get sunburnt so bad?" Hoseok asks in a soft voice.

"I stopped putting it on." I tell them honestly and everyone, especially Hoseok looked upset.

"Why would you do that?" Hoseok raised his voice and I flinched.
"I didn't expect this to happen." I tell them and Yoongi sighs.

"I thought you told me you were only going to miss one or two times, not stop reapplying altogether." He says and everyone snaps their heads in his direction.

"You knew about this hyung?" Hoseok asked and you could hear him getting more upset. Yoongi just sits back into the couch as he nodded."Lets not fight or get angry about, what's done is done." Jimin begins and everyone nods. "Lets get some aloe on Tae's skin and we can relax okay?" He asks and we all nod again, and I follow him to the bathroom.
