14. Yoongi: Stubborn Little Kitten

Yoongi's POV

It has been two days that I have had a sore throat and can't seem to figure out why. I have been practicing very hard for the new album and can't wait for ARMY to hear it. I am sure that it's just a cold because I have other symptoms as well, coughing, sneezing, running nose, slight fever, and sore throat. Those are my symptoms.

"Yoongi hyung did you hear me?" Is all I hear being pulled from my thoughts by our dear maknae.

"No sorry I was thinking." I said, realizing how hoarse my voice was and that it was very loud either but it hurt to talk. I keep thinking about my throat before I hear whispering, I look up and see the three maknaes just staring at me, and my fellow hyung line whispering to each other and glancing at me with concerned looks.

"What?" I try to question but it hurts and it hoarse but for some reason my voice cracked so it came out a little squeaky.

"Hyung don't try and talk, we can hear that you have a sore throat." Namjoon instructs and all I can do to respond is nod my head.

"Yoongi, Do you have anything else that is bothering you cause the last couple days it has sounded like you have a cold?" Jin asks me and I nod my head, I open my mouth to go speak before Hoseok hands me a pencil and a sheet of paper. I write down my symptoms and hand it to Jin who glances over it before asking about it.

"You wrote you have a slight fever, when was the last time you checked it and what was it last time?" Jin asks and I just shrug remembering how I felt when I woke up this morning and worrying about practice.

"Have you taken any medicine f0r any of these symptoms, hyung?" Hoseok questions, I shake my head to signify that I haven't. The rest of the hyung line just nod at me and continue their whispered conversation and Jimin speaks up.

"Yoongi hyung would you like some water?" I nod to Jimin and see him bounce up excited to be helping in a way and he brings me water from the mini fridge in the corner of the almost living room we have here at the studio.

"Thank you." I mouthed with no sound, intentionally to not hurt myself and he just nods back with a smile on his face as he sits back down and I take a drink realizing how bad it hurt to swallow the small amount of water I had tried to intact, causing me to physically flinch at the pain.

Seokjin's POV

I was talking with Namjoon and Hoseok about Yoongi's condition when I see Jimin hand him a water bottle and he takes a small sip and flinches when he tries to swallow.

"Yoongi, honey does it hurt to swallow?" I ask using a pet name before I can even think about it. He nods his head and drops it down to the table and rests it on his arm.

"Hyung he isn't looking too good, maybe we should take him to a doctor." Hoseok states and I just shake my head against my better judgement.

"No, I think it is just a really strong cold, lets get him home to rest and get some proper liquid and food in him and give him some cold medicine and see how he is tomorrow, if it gets worse tonight or tomorrow ?I will take him to see a doctor." I say out loud and see everyone nod in response including Yoongi. We pack up and head to the car and get home. I take Yoongi to his and Namjoon's room and lay him on his bed.

"I am going to make some soup for you and Namjoon wants to rest a little too so he will bring some water and Jimin and Hoseok are hunting down some medicine and the thermometer." I tell Yoongi as I walk toward the door and I turn to leave and hear him try and speak.

"Thank you hyung." He said and I just nodded.

"Get some rest." I tell him pulling the door shut behind me and heading to the kitchen to get started on some soup. I hear someone walk in the kitchen about 10 minutes later and I look to see Jimin.

"Hyung, Hobi hyung and I just got done taking Yoongi hyung's temperature and giving him medicine and Joonie hyung brought up like 12 bottles of water." Jimin tells me and I nod.

"What was his temperature?" I ask,curious about what slight meant to Yoongi.

"101.4 degrees fahrenheit." Jimin responds, I nod again, and turn fully around to face him.

"Thank you Jiminie, you get some rest too, you look exhausted, I will come get everyone when lunch is done." I tell him with a smile, earning me a small smile and a little nod back as he turns and walks out of the kitchen and I am left to myself in the peacefulness of the silent kitchen.

Jimin's POV

I am worried about Yoongi, he has never been so open about not feeling well, even if we could clearly see or hear it. I took his temperature and it's not high but it's not great either. He seems to have gotten so sick so fast as well and I can't help but worry that Jin is wrong and this is more than just the common cold. I walked back towards my room that I share with Hoseok after talking to Jin and I realize how quiet it is in the house. We have been so busy lately that everytime we gtr th chance we are resting and relaxing. I walk in my room to see Hoseok laying on his bed, phone in his hand looking at something and nodding off but forcing himself to stay awake. I shake my head and let out a quiet laugh as I walk over to his bed.

"Hobi hyung, take a nap all of us are and Jin hyung will come get us when lunch is ready." I tell him while taking his phone and putting it to sleep before setting it on his nightstand. He nods and rolls to his side as I pull his blanket over him and he is fast asleep. I head over to my bed and lay down and just as I nod off I hear a loud cough from the other room and it sounds bad so I go to see if Yoongi most likely who it is is okay. I walk into his and Namjoon's room and see him reaching for the tissues next to his bed. I walk over and hand them to him and ask how he is feeling, seeing as it has been an Hour since we gave him medicine.

"Hyung, are you feeling any better?" He just shakes his head.

"Worse now I have a headache and I can tell you that I won't have a voice by the end of the might." He tells me and I can hear him struggling to speak.

"I am going to tell Jin hyung, you are getting worse, you need to see a doctor." I tell him handing him a water bottle and taking his temperature again. When the thermometer beeps I look at it and head to the kitchen to talk to Jin.

"Jin hyung?" I say and he turns around and looks almost surprised to see me.
"Jimin, you still look exhausted. Have you rested at all since I sent you upstairs an hour and a half ago?" He asks, to which I just shake my head and I can hear him sigh but I don't let him lecture me.

"Hyung Yoongi hyung needs to see a doctor." I tell him and he turns to fully face me.

"Why do you say that Jiminie?" he asks, looking concerned.

"He is getting worse, He has a headache now and the medicine didn't work and now his fever has risen to 102.5." I tell him and see him look more concerned.

"Okay I will call our manager and tell him to pick us up so I can take him." Jin tells me pulling his phone from his pocket and taking that as my cue to get Yoongi ready to go. I walk upstairs and get Yoongi ready to go and am about to walk down stairs with him when Jin walks in.

"Good he is ready, we are going to head to the doctor, I will keep you posted, and please try and get some rest." Jin tells me and I just nod and wave them off and head to my own room to rest. Next thing I know I am getting shook awake, and I look to see Jin standing over me.

"Jimin we are home Yoongi has laryngitis and they said since he has a cold as well he just needs lots of rest and just treat the cold and fever with medicine and he should be fine in a week if not he has to go back." Jin tells me and I nod trying to process everything I was just told due to just being woke up.

"Thanks hyung, hows Yoongi hyung now?" I ask, he just shrugs and sighs.

"Tired and hungry but that's about it, they said that our jobs were a huge part of why it got so bad but Yoongi told the doctor then and there that is worth it and that everyone gets sick." Jin tells me and I sigh now.

"Yoongi hyung can be so stubborn." I say laughing and earning a laugh from Jin.

"Yes yes he can be, but he would like cuddles and I think that is your department so please go cuddle our stubborn little kitten please." Jins says to me and I can't hold back my laughter at the pet name, he has gotten from the fact that our fans say he is literally a cat. I go and cuddle with Yoongi and we both fall asleep.
