9. Seokjin: I Could Feel It In My Nose

Seokjin's POV

I am making breakfast, being the only one awake and I want it to be special because today is Hoseok's birthday. I am making his favorites and as I am frying up some bacon, I notice that my nose feels a little, like I am going to sneeze but also not. I rubbed my ticklish nose with a tissue to see if I can make the feeling stop and I go back to cooking. I am starting on the pancakes, when I feel that ticklish feeling again, so again I rub and the feeling goes away. Just as I am about to start cutting up the berries, I feel my nose start to run, but I don't feel sick. I go to the bathroom to get the thermometer, just to make sure I am not getting a cold, when I look in the mirror I see blood on my face. I grab some toilet paper and begin dabbing the blood away and then try blowing my nose. That seems to have made the bleeding worse, so I grab some more toilet paper and just dry the blood as it leaves my nose about 2 minutes later, it finally stops and I blow my nose one last time before washing my face and hands and going back to the kitchen to finish my task. I walk into the kitchen to see Jimin cutting up the berries and a cake sitting on the counter that he had made, and put candles in, he didn't see me at first due to humming in contentment with what he was doing. I stepped closer and accidentally stubbed my toe on the edge of the cabinet causing me to groan in pain and startle Jimin. I see Jimin's head snap up in my direction, and he puts his hand on his chest dramatically.

"Hyung, you scared me, I knew you were awake, I just didn't know where you had gone." He says and goes back to cutting the berries.

"I was just in the bathroom, I can finish that up if you would like." I tell him shuffling my way toward the counter he stood at.

"Thanks, hyung I want to do some final touches on Hobi hyung's birthday cake." He explains and walks over to a different counter with the cake. I get to work on cutting the rest of the berries when I hear shuffling and look up to see Taehyung standing in the doorway of the kitchen rubbing his eyes.

"Good morning Jin hyung, morning Jiminie." he says quietly in his soft morning voice. "Are you guys making breakfast for Hobi hyung's birthday?" He asks, rubbing his eyes again.

"Yeah if you would like you can set the table for us." I tell him, he nods and heads to the dish cabinet grabbing seven plates and starts setting the table.

"Morning everyone." Yoongi says, and looks at what we are all doing.

"Morning, can you get the other three up please, breakfast is just about done." I ask him and he groans in response before heading back towards the stairs.

Hoseok's POV

I am shook awake by Yoongi, who tells me that breakfast is done. I look over to the other side of the room to see Jimin's bed made and him not in the room, meaning he was already down stairs and had probably helped with breakfast. I get up and put a shirt on since it got hot in our room last night. I walk into the kitchen to have everyone start screaming and singing happy birthday to me. I am surprised and startled completely forgetting that today is my birthday. We have been so busy with the new album that I forgot we were given today off for my birthday as well. They finish singing and Jimin is standing in the front of the group with a cake in his hands with lit candles.

"Thanks, guys I completely forgot today was my birthday." I tell them and they all laugh. I go to start talking again when Yoongi interrupts me.

"Just blow the candles out so we can eat breakfast." He teased, I laugh and nod as I happily oblige and blow the flame away. We sit down to eat breakfast and I see all my favorites, pancakes, bacon, churros from my favorite restaurant, and fruit.

"Thanks guys." I tell them and everyone turns to Jin and he smiles and then suddenly sneezes.

"Bless you." Jimin says and we all sit down to eat. I hear Jin sniffling across the table and can't help but worry that he is getting sick.

"Jin hyung, are you alright?" I ask and he just waves his hand at me and nods.

"I am fine, and don't worry about me, today is your day and we have free time so what would you like to do?" He questions and everyone turns their attention to me. I am about to answer when Jin sneezes again. I look up to ask again if he is alright and I notice blood coming out of his nose.

"Jin hyung, your nose is bleeding." I tell him hearing the panic in my voice and I see everyone turn to look at him.

"Its nothing just a bloody nose, I am fine." He says and nobody listens, we jump into action. Yoongi runs and grabs a box of tissues and Namjoon grabs an ice pack and wraps it in the kitchen towel, the three maknaes are standing behind him and I am kneeling in front of him. Yoongi runs back in with the tissues and I pull one from the box and hand it to him.

"Hold this to your nose and lean forward and I am going to hold the ice on top of your nose." I tell him and he does so. After about five minutes his nose stops bleeding.

"Hyung are you alright?" I ask and he nods.

"Yeah it was just a bloody nose, you guys kinda went a little overboard don't you think?" He questions with a smile and small laugh telling us he was alright.

Yoongi's POV

"Hyung what do you think caused the nose bleed?" I asked, he just shrugs.

"I am not really sure but this is the second one I have had today." He tells us and we all look concerned when Jimin speaks up.

"Hyung, is that why you were in the bathroom when I came downstairs?" He asks and Jin just nods his head.

"We will have to keep an eye on it but I think he is okay now, let's finish eating and then we will head to the mall and go shopping for Hobi's birthday." I explain and everyone nods and goes back to their respective chairs and finishes eating. After eating we all go upstairs and get ready for the day when I hear Namjoon speak loudly.

"Hyung your nose is bleeding again." He says and I walk into the hallway and see Jin with tissues bunched against his nostrils.

"Hyung, this isn't good, we should call a doctor or something." I tell him and he just shakes his head and pulls the tissues away.

"See this one is already done." he says and I still feel that we should call and talk to someone, but I just brush it off and we go to the mall. We bring lots of tissues just in case, but the day goes fine at the mall and Jin's nose didn't bleed again until about a half hour after we got home. I thought about what could have been causing it, when I noticed that my nose was a little stuffy and that's when it dawned on me that it is to dry in the dorm. I went and put a pot of water on the stove to boil and turned on the air humidifiers.

"Yoongi hyung what are you doing?" Jimin asks me and I turn to him.

"I think Jin hyung keeps getting nose bleeds, because it's super dry in here." I tell him and he nods. "So I am just to get some moisture in the air to see if that helps." After I get the water boiling anf the air humidifiers on, we watch a movie and eat dinner and the rest of the night we have no other issues, so I know that my thoughts about the dry air are correct. We were getting ready for bed, when Jin speaks up.

"Hey, Yoongi said it was too dry in the dorm and that's what caused the nosebleeds, but how did he know it was too dry in here." He asks and everyone looks at me, I just smile.

"I could feel it in my nose." I say causing everyone to laugh.
