Empathy--a noun-- meaning that a person can understand and feel the feelings of another person. It's made from kindness and patience. Though, empathy leads into manipulation. The ability to be able to feel others emotions is a gateway into leading them to believe things that aren't true. Mentally abusing someone is easy when you can understand their emotions, and through that understand who they are. Empathy was the culmination of Y/N's being. Making you a very, very powerful person. Luckily you came from a powerful family. Your dad, Wiliam Clermont, was one of the top pharmaceuticals in your country. Your mom, Sharron Tilden-Clermont, was the owner of a huge enterprise in the film-making industry. Last but not least, your older brother, Mark Clermont, was a famous fitness instructor. Though you, you were still a college student.

Ever since the monsters came to the surface when you were 12 you've had a strange connection to your soul. It changed from being a small part of you to being all of you. It shined brighter when you were happy and dimmed when you were sad. Then, at age 14, you discovered what you could do with your soul. The core seven souls--determination, bravery, justice, kindness, patience, integrity, and perseverance-- all had known power that came with their souls. Though each had their own colorful arsenal making them all dangerous.

Determination is the rarest soul type with the power to persist after death. Which is seen through Frisk's tireless determination and the text "but it refused" when killed. Determination gives the user a sword and shield--which is common through the core seven-- but it also gives the owner extreme ambition.

Bravery is a common soul type as anyone can be brave, but few are brave all the time. This soul type was most common in soldiers and volunteers for experiments or children with a terminal disease. Bravery gives the owner a sword and shield, as well as the ability to stay calm in the face of danger or even death.

Justice is an uncommon soul type, it's not the easiest thing in the world to stay true to a good moral code all the time, though they make it seem easy. Justice is often seen in lawyers and judges, though it's also seen in certain world leaders. It gives the owner a sword and a shield, as well as a clear distinctive between right and wrongs.

Kindness is a common soul type as well as bravery. Though it's not a favorable one among some adults. Kindness can get you into many sticky situations and you are more susceptible to manipulation. It's seen in teachers and most people who work with children. It gives you a sword, a shield, and healing powers.

Patience is an uncommon soul type, it takes a special kind of person to be patient with toddlers and adults who act like whiny babies. It is often seen in people who work in customer service jobs for a long time and it's also seen in doctors and surgeons. It gives the user a sword and a shield as well as the ability to slow time for short periods of time.

Integrity is a common soul type, it's pure honesty and morality and it's quite admirable. Pure honesty is hard to come by and it's taken for granted entirely too much. It is often seen in musical careers and art careers. It gives the owner a sword and a shield as well as the ability to know truth from lies.

Perseverance is a common soul type once more. It's the ability to keep moving forward through hard times- it's the ability to continue without quitting. It's seen in a lot of activists or politicians, and in people who are in poverty. It gives the owner a sword and a shield as well as the ability to take less physical damage when hurt.

Those are what we call the core seven souls. They're the base traits for the rest of the souls. It's harder to distinguish when we get deep into but for now to make it simple. The traits combine to make other traits. Determination and bravery make audacity, bravery and justice make courage, justice and kindness make courtesy, kindness and patience make empathy, patience and integrity make sincerity, integrity and perseverance make rectitude, and perseverance and determination make dedication. It can go deeper but the point has been made.

Though as a base point, these are all good traits. Not one of these is a bad thing creating the illusion that humans are all good. Though each positive soul trait has a negative counterpart. Determination/irresolution, bravery/cowardice, justice/corruption, kindness/animosity, patience/agitation, integrity/dishonesty, and perseverance/apathy. Which simply take the darker color of the core souls. Though it won't be mentioned exactly name for name, there is a dark side to every soul trait.

Your soul trait just happens to be empathy, it's a rarer soul trait as it is hard to fully comprehend a person's emotions all the time. It's most often seen in psychologists and therapists, though it is also seen in teachers. It gives the user the ability to access other people's memories, thoughts, and true feelings. It's seen as dangerous because when a person is fully incontrol of the trait, they can force people into seeing things that aren't there. Which starts the questioning, is it manipulation?

Though that's not what your story is about.

Your story is about a young lady who struggles to live up to her parents hopes and dreams. It's about a young lady who grows into her soul trait through hardship. It's about a young lady who learns to take what she wants while giving back to others. It's the story of a young girl and a young boy. Though that isn't how it starts off.
