Caty Jones' POV

I don't understand Caleb. There are times where I swear he loves me. That he wants me to spend the rest of my life with him. That I'm the girl he's always dreamed of. The innocent girl whose new to everything. And then it's like nothing happened.. That I am nothing but another conquest to him. An object to him... Should I already expected this though? I mean, I'm nothing BUT his student. He shouldn't be with me, same thing vise versa.
Maybe this thing called Love is stupid. Let's just say November was the last time he called me. We haven't talked or went on any dates. He basically ghosted me. Acted like I didn't even exist. He still has a class I'm in gives us lectures, notes, tests, etc. Like he has before he mentioned the contract to me. God, I wish I never even signed that thing. I wish I knew what I was getting into, clearly I've been seeing it all wrong.

So, I decided to drive to my favorite coffee shop to get something to drink. When I found a spot in the car parked, I finally got it next to a vehicle. But, I recognized immediately that it was Caleb's vehicle. What an Odd coincidence.

What was he doing here? I asked myself.

I put my hoodie on covering my face and hair. I ordered something and glanced to see him sitting across a table with another girl. They both had a drink at their table. She laughed at something he said. He smiled grabbing her hand. She looked at him in awe. You could tell they've been seeing each other sometime now. Just by their body language.

"Can I help you?" The worker asked, a male, he was tan. He had black curly hair, honey brown eyes, perfect smile. He was definitely taller than me.

"One large vanilla latte, light ice and then a Carmel blended frappe," I ordered as he put that in the register looking at me afterward.

"Anything else?" He asked.

"A piece of paper and a pen... and that would be all." His eyes widen, his expression changing.

"Paper and pen?" I nodded. I glanced to see Caleb and her talking. You could tell she was around his age. Not young like me.

"Here," He said, "That'll be 15$." I hand him twenty dollars writing down something for Caleb.

"The name?" He asked.

"Caty," I say quietly. He nods as he leaves the register. I put the pen back on the counter putting the paper in my pocket. As I anxiously wait for my two drinks I ordered. I didn't want my change back, either.

"Here ya go! Have a nice day, Miss," He smiled brightly at me. I did too grabbing my drinks exiting the shop. I rushed into my car heading to Caleb's house immediately.

-

I got out of my car heading towards the front door. I take off the lid throwing the drink on his door and doorknob. I put the note in the cup shoving it between the two doors and left. I headed back home studying for Chemistry and then doing my Art Projects.

Caleb Finn's POV

After being at the Coffee Shop I went home. I noticed my new temporary maid wasn't here. I noticed coffee all over the door and doorknob. Wow... I cautiously grab the empty cup with a piece of paper on the inside. I pull out the note to recognize someone's handwriting.

For you and your pathetic date... XOXO

I sigh going in the back door. I head straight to my office room downstairs to see the security cameras. I instantly see Caty throw the drink and then shove it into the door running to her car. She took off immediately.

What if I told you I wanted to make sure Caty was the one?

Never mind. I signed a contract, we weren't allowed to see other people. And I was on a coffee date. I just wanted to make sure what Caty and I had wasn't just Lust. I don't know... I've been seeing that Coffee Shop Girl for a while but I never had sex with her or anything.

I grab my cell dialing her number. When it goes straight to voicemail. That's fucken fantastic.
